i Light Singapore 2025
The time of year has come again to don our best fits and snap mandatory photos with aesthetic light installations at i Light Singapore 2025. Yep, the annual event is returning to the Marina Bay area from 29th May to 21st June 2025, this time with gorgeous displays around the Singapore River and Raffles Place as well. Here’s what we know so far.
What to expect at i Light Singapore?
This year’s festival takes on the theme ‘To Gather’, which, in line with SG60, focuses on our togetherness as a nation. In total, there are 17 installations to walk through, each discussing topics like sustainability and the country’s future.
As always, the festival is free to enter, though there’ll be paid programmes like a $3 keychain making workshop you can opt to take part in. GastroBeats will also be making its return, with new F&B and retail stalls to keep visitors entertained on site at Bayfront. P.S. – pets are allowed here, so feel free to bring your fur friends along for a stroll round the exhibitions.
17 interactive installations by 20 artists
– Installations at Marina Bay –
i Light will have installations scattered around Marina Bay, South Beach, Singapore River, and Raffles Place.

The main festival ground will be at Marina Bay, where you’ll be able to spot highlight installations like Take a walk through the meadow with me by local artists Megan Tan and Tan Shao Xuan. This stunning artwork quite literally depicts a bed of roses, featuring 300 lit-up flowers repurposed from acrylic waste. The pretty petals here have motion sensors, so expect them to light up and play music as you walk through.

Nearby, you’ll be able to create your own tunes at Piano Walk by Australian artist studio Amigo & Amigo. Here, you’ll be able to compose melodies with strangers as you step on the installation’s larger-than-life piano keys.

Further down near The Fullerton Bay Hotel, stop for a quick television break at Elementary by Tonoptik, where visitors can interact with a flat screen TV depicting a virtual landscape of the ocean. Everyone’s movements affect the image on screen, showcasing how our actions impact the environment.

Nearby, you’ll also be able to snap pics with a giant illuminated sign hanging off the side of a pontoon. Named Urban Oracle, the installation by Italian design studio Ultravioletto displays AI-generated messages about SG.
– Installations at Singapore River & Raffles Place –
Once you’re done exploring the exhibits at Marina Bay, be sure to extend your night stroll down to the Singapore River and Raffles Place.

You’ll also want to strike a pose along Cavenaugh Bridge, which will be decked to the nines with lit-up bamboo sticks. BTW, the above 2 exhibits will be around till 20th July 2025, so you’ll have a little more time to enjoy them.
