Cross-border gifting with Grab’s 100+ Cities Delivery
These days, we’re all in some sort of LDR – and we don’t just mean your Pasir Ris-Jurong affair. We’ve got friends and family all over the world now; and while most of us aren’t able to book the next plane ticket to celebrate new years with them, we can now send gifts over with 100+ Cities Delivery – a new and lesser-known international delivery feature by Grab.
Here’s how this nifty new feature works:

Send food and vouchers overseas within an hour

Gone are the days of snail mail – that’s fun and all, but hey, it’s also 2021. This means it no longer takes weeks to send something overseas! Sending a gift to someone in another country is now a gazillion times easier with Grab’s new cross-border delivery function.
Coined 100+ Cities Delivery, this new feature allows users to send food and other items on demand via GrabFood and GrabMart to loved ones abroad, all within an hour.

Currently in its beta phase, 100+ Cities Delivery is now exclusively available in six countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand and Singapore.
If your SO who’s 100 miles away says they’re hungry, thirsty or upset, you can send over bubble tea, fried chicken, pizzas and everything in between. Otherwise, spice up your next work cohesion or meeting up by sending the overseas team some snacks to brighten up their day.
Bangkok has Machi Machi, JB has Manhattan Fish Market and Cebu has OG Jollibees – with more options on the menu than Singapore’s, we might add.

Consider all this a part of a “secret” function as 100+ Cities Delivery is currently a lesser-known widget hidden within the app.
We surprised our colleague in Malaysia with a midday Christmas treat

We tried this out for ourselves by sending some festive desserts over to our colleague Jessica who was in Kuala Lumpur during the Christmas season. Surprisingly, the whole process turned out to be easy as pie, and very similar to ordering a regular GrabFood delivery here in SG.

For our delivery destination of Klang Valley, dessert options included familiar brands like Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tarts and Starbucks, alongside popular local cafe chains like Molten Chocolate Cafe. We decided to go with a dozen donuts from Krispy Kreme which added up to a total of RM50 or ~S$16 including delivery – a price point that’s unheard of in Singapore!
Best of all, it took only 45 minutes for the snacks to reach Jessica’s doorstep; and, save the quick math required to convert the currencies in my head, the whole experience was a fuss-free one.
Here’s how you can surprise your loved ones across the border too:
- Go to your Grab app home page and scroll down until you see “Keep Discovering”
- Select “100+ Cities Delivery”
- Select Food or Mart depending on whether you would like to send food or gifts
- Select your recipient’s city of residence and enter your recipient’s address in the order page
- Make your payment via credit card
Send gifts for any occasion via the revamped GrabGifts interface

Food’s just the beginning as you also can gift Grab vouchers via the newly-revamped GrabGifts interface. These vouchers can be used for food, transport and most things on Grab, across Grab’s Food, Mart, Express and Transport services in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and soon, Indonesia.
Add a message and pick a gift card design to give your Grab Voucher a more personal touch that your recipient is sure to appreciate.
