Valentine’s Day is the day of romance – the day when you can expect lovey-dovey gestures and mushy handwritten notes. But at CHIJMES, it doesn’t matter if you’re single or attached. You can celebrate Valentine’s Day with your one true love and by that, we mean your best friend: your doggo, cat, bunny, or even your parrot!
CHIJMES is holding A Valentine’s Fairytail on 10 February for you and your pets, where PDA (Pets’ Displays of Affection) is completely acceptable. There will be pet-centric activities, including pet weddings, pet adoption drives, as well as picnic and movies under the stars with your pet.
Adopt a new family member at the Adopt-A-Pet Drive

Not to worry if you don’t have a pet for A Valentine’s Fairytail! Come on down, spread the love, and adopt not shop. Bring a new fur-kid into your family with CHIJMES’ Adopt-A-Pet Drive – they’ve partnered up with animal shelters like Bunnies’ Best Buddies (bunnies), Hope Dog Rescue (dogs), Love Kuching Project (cats), and Uncle Khoe’s K9 (dogs).

AVA will also have a mini-exhibition on responsible pet ownership for all new pet lovers, and Pet Widget will be giving out one Intelligent Pet ID Tag for every adopted pet to ensure they never get lost again.

Bond your pets for life with a Pet Wedding Package

If you’ve always thought your pets look cute together, here’s the chance to make it official with a Pet Wedding Package. All packages include marriage certificates but they range from simple to elaborate. If you’re looking for a keepsake photo, the Love at First Sight Package ($20 per pet couple) works fine with the Bride & Groom collar tag props.

Those determined to splash out for their beloved pets can opt for the I Love You Package ($180 per 2 pet couples), which is a double wedding ceremony involving 4 pets. On top of the cert and wedding photo, you’ll also have customised Bride & Groom wedding costumes and tags for your pets.
The wedding itself will be held on the Lawn, but you can chill out with your pets in your own private boutique with catered food from El Mero Mero – a quesadilla, taco and choice of drink.
Although you can purchase the Love at First Sight Package on-site, you’ll need to pre-book for the Childhood Sweetheart Package and I Love You Package. Find more details on the Pet Wedding Packages here.

Watch La La Land under the stars with your partner and pet

Since La La Land will be screening at CHIJMES’ Lawn, take the chance to grab your partner and pets to snuggle up for a romantic picnic under the stars.
The picnic basket is made for two ($88) by Carnivore Brazilian Churrascaria. It comes with a serve of Dory Fish Salpicão Salad which has dory, raisins, olives and mixed greens, along with Brazilian Barbecued Chicken Thigh on Ciabatta Bread. There’s also Opera Chocolate Cake for the sweet tooths out there.
If you purchase 1 Pet Wedding Package, you can get a picnic basket for $78! Picnic baskets can be collected from 7PM on the day.

Lots of pet goodies out there, and many of them will be making their way down to CHIJMES. There will be stalls for you to stock up on pet products from Good Dog People, but pay heed to their range of services to pamper your pet.
Whether it’s a belly-rubbing massage they’re looking for with Paws Fur Life, or an all-natural pupcake or two from pet bakery Wholesome Paws, your pet is sure to love this year’s Valentine’s Day. Other stalls your pet will wanna make a stop at includes dog groomer Whiskey’s, especially before heading over to get their portrait drawn by caricaturist Trivialities.

For those whose pets need more discipline, sign them up for agility and obedience workshops by SuperNova Dog Sports Academy – they’ll whip your doggo in shape in no time.
