New restaurants & activities at Changi Airport

Every other Instagram Story these days shows a passport with an air ticket slotted in between and for many of us, FOMO sets in pretty quickly. The next best thing if you don’t have a grand trip planned for the year end just yet? A trip to Changi Airport.

Terminals 2 and 3 now have spanking new dining and entertainment addition, so you can soak in travel vibes without the need for an air ticket. Here’s what you can do at the airport if you feel like soaking in travel vibes:

Pose at a Monet-themed art installation

If you’re into art, we’re sure you’ve heard of Claude Monet. He was a French painter who used bright colours to paint his outlook of the world – and you’d probably recognise some of his works, which include Impression, Sunrise and The Water Lily Pond.

Today, his work has been brought to life at Terminal 2 and takes visitors through the 4 seasons. Think photo-worthy setups of summery florals and bright orange autumn leaves for A+ themed photos. You might still be in Singapore, but that doesn’t stop you from posing for a picture against the coasts of Cote d’Azur or faraway French villages.

New affordable dining options

When we think of Changi Airport and Jewel Changi, plenty of luxury duning options might come to mind. Thankfully, there’s a variety of food options that won’t burn a hole in your wallet, whether it’s sushi or local favourites like chicken curry laksa and signature meatball noodles.

A new joint that just landed in Changi Airport is Sushi Deli, known for its affordable takeaway sushi in heartlands all around Singapore. If you’d rather have your sushi tapao-style instead of from the conveyor belt, they have items such as their Hagi Platter includes unagi, kani sticks, and tamago for just $10.50.

Any Singaporean who has been abroad for an extended period of time will inevitably start craving for comforting local food. For those who have just touched down from faraware regions like Europe, check out Papparich, which specialises in dishes familiar to us all, including Chicken Curry Laksa ($14.87), Curry Fish Head ($40.55), and even Chicken Satay ($12.73) or Beef Satay ($13.80)
