If you’re guilty of complaining that “Singapore is so boring,” there’s no better way to add spice to your life than some adrenaline-pumping activities. Our island might be little, but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t much to do here; it is filled with exciting adventure activities for you to try out.
FYI, adrenaline stimulates the release of happy hormones – dopamine – into our system, giving us that mixed feeling of anxiousness, nervousness, and excitement that make us say “damn shiok.” So, don’t miss out on these exhilarating things to do in Singapore.

Battle it out with your friends through 2 rounds of intense paintballing games, Capture the Flag and Elimination, at Crossfire Paintball. Like its name suggests, Capture the Flag requires a player to capture the team’s own coloured flag and make it back to home base without getting shot, while the aim of Elimination is simply getting other players eliminated from the game by hitting them with a paintball.
Don’t sabo your friends near you, though, as the impact really puts the PAIN in PAINtball. Plus, it’ll leave a nasty orh cheh or bruise.

Since the thrill comes with a little pain, you must be at least 18 years old to play or get your parents to sign the waiver if you’re between 14 and 17 years old. You can play in groups of 5 for $130.80 or add on more friends at $26.26/pax. Come in the suggested attire of long-sleeved clothing and bring your A game; all other equipment and 100 paintballs will be provided.
If you can’t cycle on land, try cycling on water at Lazarus Island. The Sea Sports Centre has water bikes that are modified to float steadily on water, so you don’t even have to worry about balancing. Just like a normal bike, pedal to get the bike going, and it’ll glide across the water.
Feel free to take it for a chill stroll around the waters or put in more passion, more energy, more footwork for a satisfying workout. Prices start from $30/hr.

Even though walking on water isn’t a possibility yet, you can blast off above the waters by Jetblading at Ola Beach Club with the hydroflighting device that will shoot you about 30ft into the air using a long hose and pressurised water right below the board.
With the help of the instructor paired with you, you could even get some stunts down in no time. Jetblading costs $198/pax for 1 timeslot, lasting about 45 minutes.
Right next to the GX-5 Extreme Swing is its fellow adrenaline-pumping human Slingshot ride at Clarke Quay. Get propelled 70m off the ground at an extreme speed of 160 km/h, and continue to bounce for around 2-3 minutes before safely landing back on earth.
Don’t say I’m not steady. For those who don’t want any unglams, make sure to get your game faces on, as your picture will be captured while you get shot up in the sky.
For a taste of the action, it’ll be $45/pax for adults and $35/pax for students 18 years old and below.
Just like the show many of us used to watch, Wipeout, HydroDash is an obstacle course that leads to you plunging into the water when you slip. With 4 different zones of various difficulty, you can challenge yourself and try to complete them without falling into the water.

Even if you do fall, there are step-up systems all around to help you get back onto the inflatable obstacle course. Plus, everyone has to wear a life jacket, so you can join in the fun even if you can’t swim.
Get to choose between 1-hour access for $18 and 2-hour access for $36, and even get weather insurance for just $2.
