Set to open in October 2026, here’s a look at what Ibis Styles Johor Bahru City Centre will offer. And it’ll also be near the Bukit Chagar RTS Station, just in time for the RTS Link’s highly anticipated opening some time in early 2027.
What to expect from the new Ibis Styles Johor Bahru City Centre hotel rooms

The hotel will offer 5 room types. For couples or friends needing a clean and comfy place to spend the night, the Standard Room will do nicely – available in 1 queen bed or 2 single bed variations. It’s worth noting that the Standard Room With 1 Queen Bed is designed to be wheelchair-friendly.

Those travelling in a bigger group, or simply wish to have a larger space to move around in and store shopping hauls, can go for the Superior Room or Executive Room, measuring 24sqm and 39sqm respectively. For reference, a 2-Room Flexi BTO measures 36sqm on average, so the Executive Room is slightly bigger than a whole 2-room house.

For both of these options, you’ll get a Queen Bed in the room with the option of 1 additional mattress, or 1 baby crib on request. Good for families who wish to room together!

Amenities
One of the best parts of hotel stays is arguably the breakfast buffet. You take a lift down from your room and a smorgasbord awaits you, what’s not to love? At Ibis Styles Johor Bahru City Centre, breakfast buffets are available with an optional top-up, for travellers who may wish to kickstart the day with an in-house brekkie on some days, and go savour what JB has to offer on others.

Chow down at the in-house Styles Cafe, where breakfast buffets are served from 6.30am to 10.30am on weekdays, and 7am till 11am on weekends. Perfect for a little weekend sleep-in, without having to worry that you’ll miss mealtime.
While exact menus have yet to be released, the hotel says there’ll be a hot breakfast and cold breakfast spread, as well as continental offerings that are typical of hotel breakfast buffets. We reckon that will mean things like fresh fruits, yoghurt, cereal and milk, assorted pastries, and some cooked dishes like eggs, sausages, hash browns, and so on.

With all the indulging that one gets up to on holiday, some vacationers may wish to still get their workouts in. Ibis Styles Johor Bahru City Centre has a fitness centre that, unlike many hotel gyms, actually operates 24 hours. Go work up a sweat with their treadmills, free weights, and weight machines no matter the time of day.

When the RTS Link opens up next year, you’ll also be able to reach Ibis Styles Johor Bahru City Centre via a 10-minute Grab ride from Bukit Chagar RTS Station.
