But before you start hyperventilating, know that there’s a map that pinpoints the nearest loos, as well as another map for locating toilets with bidets. With drinks getting pricier by the day – and even bottled water now coming with the added hassle of the Beverage Container Return Scheme – staying hydrated while out and about can feel unnecessarily expensive. Some days, it is just too hot out not to have a drink, but what if you could quench your thirst for free?

The Singapore Water Dispenser Map was started by Ming Kang, an avid hiker and jogger, who wanted to save money from buying bottled water while out. It comprises over 100 known water dispenser locations across Singapore. Details include photos of the water dispensers, the temperature of the water, and even the longitude and latitude to help you find the exact location to get a drink or refill your bottle.

You can also contribute to this ever-growing list of water dispensers by submitting a Google Form. Each submission is vetted by Ming Kang before it’s plotted onto the Maps, so you won’t have to worry about showing up to a phantom water cooler.
