Scoot’s no stranger to launching new flights to lesser-known destinations within Indonesia; late last year, they announced that they’ll be flying to cities like Labuan Bajo, Medan, and Palembang. Now, they’re adding Belitung and Pontianak to that list.

Travellers will be able to book direct flights from Singapore to the tropical gem that is Belitung from 3rd May 2026 onwards. These will depart twice a week from Changi Airport; we’re looking at flight times of around 1 hour 40 minutes, and you’ll land in the quaint town of Tanjung Pandan. One-way, Economy Class flights to Belitung start from $99.
If you’re already daydreaming about your next getaway, Belitung is perfect for those who love the outdoors, as beautiful beaches, massive granite rock formations, and island-hopping opportunities are aplenty here. For the best views, swing by the Blue Kaolin Lake, and when you’re feeling adventurous, go spelunking at the Nek Santen Cave.

On the other hand, Scoot’s new flights to Pontianak will officially take off from 29th June 2026 onwards, but you can already start booking them via the Scoot website. The non-stop flights will leave for the capital of West Kalimantan 3 times a week, and flight durations float around 1 hour 35 minutes. Economy Class tickets to Pontianak from Singapore start from $219.

Known as the “Equator City”, Pontianak lies directly on the equator; at the city’s Equator Monument, you can set foot on both the Northern and Southern hemispheres at the same time. Pontianak is also known for its vibrant culture; embark on a boat ride on the Kapuas River, learn more about the culture of the Dayak people, and feast on local dishes like Soto Pontianak and Kwetiau Siram.
