Chong Pang City in Yishun
Yishun is at it again, and no, we’re not talking about its long-standing reputation as Singapore’s most chaotic neighbourhood. This time, it’s levelling up in a very different way. A brand-new 9-storey lifestyle hub, Chong Pang City, is set to open, and it looks like it might just change the way we see the area altogether.
Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming development.

Chong Pang City is a brand-new integrated hub in Yishun that’s set to become a community space for residents in the northern region.
When it’s up and running, the hub will feature a mix of fresh and upgraded community amenities, including a new community centre, hawker centre, swimming pools, and even a rooftop jogging track.
There’ll also be 4,200sqm of commercial space, where you can expect a mix of cafes and casual dining spots, as well as quick-service outlets to sort out your daily errands in one go.

At the heart of it all will be the new Chong Pang Community Club (CC), located on the 1st floor of the development. It will feature community spaces where you can just lepak, and a range of programmes and classes aimed at helping residents stay active, pick up new skills, and keep life interesting.
3 swimming pools

Residents will also have another option besides the Yishun Swimming Complex, because Chong Pang City will come with 2 leisure pools and an indoor Olympic-sized lap pool.

Located on the top floor, these facilities are designed with families in mind – kids can splash around at the waterplay area while the adults get a proper swim at the indoor pool.
Gym

A gym will also be located on the 6th floor, so you won’t have to travel far for your next workout. It’ll be equipped with a full range of strength training equipment – great whether you’re just starting out or already in your fitness era.

Spanning 9,800sqm, the upgraded Chong Pang Hawker Centre and Market will house 58 food stalls and 123 market stalls, along with over 300 carpark lots – parking shouldn’t be a nightmare for once.
It’ll also serve as the new home for many familiar stalls from Chong Pang Food Centre, meaning your go-to hawker dishes aren’t going anywhere.
Community plaza

Once the current hawker centre is vacated, the site will be redeveloped into a community plaza by 2028. This will be an open space for residents to gather, chill, and take part in community activities.
When will Chong Pang City be ready?

Chong Pang City is targeted for completion in 2027. For longtime Yishun residents who have seen the neighbourhood go through its fair share of character development, there’ll finally be something bright and shiny to look forward to right in the heart of the estate.
A fresh chapter for Yishun with Chong Pang City
Chong Pang City is a reminder that neighbourhoods evolve in ways you don’t always expect. Yishun might still keep its reputation, but it’s also adding a few new chapters to the story.
