Amigos Horse Riding in JB
We’ve just hard launched the Year of the Fire Horse, and there’s no better time than now to kickstart your very own horse riding adventure. If you’ve been there, done that at the horse riding stables in Singapore, consider instead heading across the Causeway to Amigos Riding School in Johor Bahru, where you can even go horse riding on a jungle trail.
The current exchange rate is RM1 = ~S$0.32 as of 26th February 2026.
Where is Amigos Horse Riding?

Amigos Horse Riding is near Iskandar Puteri, where you’re closer to JB spots such as LEGOLAND Malaysia, Puteri Harbour, and Forest City. From the Second Link at Tuas, these stables are just a 20-minute drive or taxi ride away.
If you’re planning to take the upcoming RTS Link to Bukit Chagar, you’ll have to continue on with a 30-minute cab ride to the stables.
Because of its location, there are no public transportation options that bring you here; if you’re thinking of making a weekend trip out of it, Leisure Farm Malaysia is right next door, and X Park Sunway Iskandar is not too far away either. Do note that while Amigos used to operate their first branch right next to Tanjong Puteri Golf Resort in Pasir Gudang, they are no longer there.
What can I do at Amigos Horse Riding?
Jungle trail horse riding

We get it, hiking is tiring. And for some of us, that takes the pleasure out of the endeavour. With the Jungle Trail Ride (from RM90/~S$29.33), you get the best of both worlds – your four-legged pal does the walking on your behalf, and you get to ride a horse in the great outdoors.

If you’ve only ridden a horse in staid circles around a paddock, you’ll find this experience an entire world apart. While horse riding will always come with its risks, you’ll be accompanied by a trainer who will guide you on the jungle trail, offering you riding tips and interesting nuggets about your surroundings.
Paddock rides for kids
Granted, the jungle trail rides might not be for everyone, so if you’re here with kids, or are a beginner who prefers the paddock, fret not, because Amigos Horse Riding also has Fun Rides (RM11/~S$3.58), which are relatively safer and more predictable, with ponies for little ones who are too small for a full-sized horse.

In the words of owner and trainer Mr Mousouloo, “horse riding is not only for the rich,” and here at Amigos Horse Riding, you can take horse riding lessons from RM880 (~S$286.79) for 8 45-minute classes. This works out to RM110 (~S$35.85) per class, and the course would be tailored to your own aptitude and progress.

More than simply teaching you how to ride a horse, these classes also cover equestrian care, so you are fully equipped to handle a horse – from grooming and washing, to feeding and putting on their gear.
Alternatively, they also do ad hoc riding classes (from RM149/~S$48.56) for a 45-minute session.
ATV riding
Instead of only catering to equine fans, Amigos also offers ATV off-roading adventures. If you keep an eye on the Amigos Instagram page, you might even get lucky with a Night ATV Ride, priced at RM180 (~S$58.72) for a maximum of 2 riders per vehicle.
If that’s a touch too thrilling, there are also daytime ATV rides, where a 40-minute session starts from RM140 (~S$45.63).
Giddy up at Amigos Horse Riding in JB
Should you be interested in doing this long-term, you can always sign up for an annual membership (RM365/~S$118.95), which will unlock special membership rates for all of the above prices.
Get more out of your Johor trips outside of visiting JB malls; Malaysia is nothing if not blessed with an abundance of nature, which we are short of here in Singapore. Pick up a new hobby while we’re still in 2026, and perhaps you’ll even unlock a hidden skill.
