Start off your year with a bang at the neon wonderland that is the Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) Thailand. This international EDM festival from Las Vegas is coming to Rhythm Park in Phuket from 16th to 18th January 2026, promising not only music but also a fully immersive carnival experience.

The festival has 5 major stages, each designed with a different theme through creative technology. Check out the massive kineticFIELD stage for stunning visuals and main performances, and the new bionicJUNGLE for wild house music.

And if there’s any guarantee of quality, the 2026 lineup includes top DJs like Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso from supergroup Swedish House Mafia.

Walk through the festival grounds, and you’ll find surreal art installations, carnival rides, and various Funkdafied Freaks – the flashy dancers, stilters, aerialists, and circus performers roaming around.

2. Lollapalooza India, Mumbai

You may have heard of Lollapalooza, the iconic Chicago-based music festival that’s been running since 1991. From 24th to 25th January 2026, it will be back at Mahalaxmi Race Course in Mumbai, India, for its 4th edition, bringing a diverse lineup of over 40 artists across the rock, hip hop, alternative, and EDM genres.

2026’s headliners will include international names like Linkin Park, Fuji Kaze, and Playboi Carti, plus English singer YUNGBLUD. So if you’d like to hop between genres instead of sticking to 1 theme, Lollapalooza India will probably have the music for you.

Tickets start from ₹6,999 (~S$100.50). A wristband will be delivered to you for festival entry, so if you don’t have an address in India, just enter “123456” as the zip code when purchasing tickets online, and pick up your wristband at the Box Office from 24th to 25th January 2026.

3. EMERGE FEST, Taichung

From 28th February to 1st March 2026, EMERGE FEST will take over the scenic Aofengshan Sports Park in Taichung, Taiwan. This rock festival is one of Taiwan’s largest and most iconic, and is known for spotlighting underrated Asian artists from countries like Japan, Korea, and Thailand.

A sneak peek at the lineup tells us that PAPUN BAND, pami, and TOUCHED will be making an appearance, so expect punk and alternative tunes too. Rock music may have originated from the West, but you can add EMERGE FEST to your Taichung itinerary for a look at how it has evolved in Asia.

4. S20 Songkran Music Festival, Bangkok

One is never too old to play with water: S20 Songkran Music Festival is the best place to get drenched during Songkran, Thailand’s New Year celebration, when water fights take over the streets. This international EDM festival is expected to happen in April 2026 at Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok, where the venue will be split into 2 zones: dry and wet.

Be prepared to face water cannons and a 360-degree splashing system that’s synchronised to the beat in the wet zone – the perfect way to cool off in a tropical rave. The 2026 lineup has yet to be announced, but past festivals have featured major EDM artists like Marshmello and Alan Walker, so you can expect big hits again.

Note that a wristband comes with your ticket and is required for entry, so you can either choose to pick it up at the festival or get it delivered to an address in Thailand. We also recommend storing your phone safely inside a waterproof pouch to have fun with peace of mind.

5. Java Jazz Festival, Jakarta

A music festival is not limited to pop and hard rock – just check out the International Java Jazz Festival. Happening from 29th to 31st May 2026 in Jakarta, Indonesia, this 3-day event is one of the largest jazz festivals in the world and brings together everything from jazz and R&B to soul and reggae. If you prefer chill music, this is where you can sway, not mosh, to the beat.

Legendary musicians like Stevie Wonder and Laufey have performed here in previous years, so an exciting lineup is pretty much guaranteed this time too.

6. Fuji Rock Festival, Niigata

Get out of the city for some fresh air at the Fuji Rock Festival that’s coming to Niigata, Japan, from 24th to 26th July 2026. Set within the stunning mountains of Naeba Ski Resort, there’s more to enjoy besides tunes at the largest outdoor music festival in Japan.

The genres here are endless – there’s global rock, indie, alternative, and even electronic. Catch the various performances across the Green Stage, White Stage, and Red Marquee, and enjoy art installations, cultural workshops, and Japanese street food. As the night goes on, you’ll also get to rave to the extremes at the Palace of Wonder, located before the festival entrance.

7. Ultra Japan, Tokyo

ULTRA Worldwide is the most international music festival brand in the world, and it’s having yet another EDM fest in Japan from 19th to 20th September 2026. ULTRA Japan will be set within the Tokyo Odaiba Ultra Park, featuring headliners, multiple stages, and epic visuals. Expect EDM genres like house, techno, trance, and hip hop to play, plus pyrotechnic performances if you’re lucky.

Tickets start from ¥26,000 (~S$217.02) for a 2-day General Admission ticket. If you’re 23 years old and below, you can get the U-23 ticket for just ¥15,000 (~S$125.22).

8. Rolling Loud India, Mumbai

Biggest hip hop festival in the world

Rolling Loud India – the world’s biggest hip hop festival – is coming back to Mumbai for 2 days in November 2026. The first edition in 2025 drew in massive crowds with international headliners like Wiz Khalifa and Central Cee, as well as Punjabi pop star Karan Aujla.

Unlike multi-genre festivals, this one is exclusively dedicated to hip hop and rap, so you know exactly what you’re in for – although surprise guests could still shake things up.

9. Tomorrowland Thailand, Pattaya

Fantasy-themed festival debuting in Thailand

Tomorrowland, known for its fairytale themes and fantastical stage designs, is finally touching down in Asia at Wisdom Valley in Pattaya, Thailand. The festival is scheduled for December 2026, and while full details are not out yet, festivalgoers can expect a new and extravagant theme across more than 10 stages, complete with fireworks and all genres of EDM music.

What’s more, Thailand is set to host Tomorrowland for the next 5 years until 2031, so Singaporeans can easily experience this legendary festival by hopping on a short flight.
