Singapore Flyer in Marina Bay

What is the Singapore Flyer?

The Singapore Flyer was the tallest observation wheel in the world from 2008 to 2014, measuring 165m tall. Today, it ranks 3rd in the list of tallest observation wheels, behind Las Vegas’ 167.6m tall High Roller and Dubai’s Ain Dubai which stands at a whopping 250m.
Building this massive observation wheel wasn’t an easy feat, requiring 2.5 years and a whopping $240 million to complete. Though the title isn’t with us anymore, it’s still Asia’s largest observation wheel!
Since its opening, it has been hailed as a must-go for both tourists and locals. At the Flyer’s maximum height, you’ll get to see almost everything within a 45km radius. From far-flung local monuments to neighbouring islands from Malaysia and Indonesia, that’s a whole lot to take in during the 30-minute revolution around the Flyer.
Getting to the Singapore Flyer
Promenade MRT station is the nearest station to Singapore Flyer, just an 8-minute walk from Exit A. If you’re the sort who’s easily lost, don’t fret – the route is dotted with direction signs that’ll lead you to the majestic observation wheel.

Since August is just around the corner, you’ll be able to catch a couple of National Day-related promos at the Singapore Flyer.
From 9th-10th August 2024, embark on the Singapore Flyer’s National Day Moonlight Flight for $25/pax (U.P $40). The observation wheel will be operating non-stop overnight from 11pm-8am for the first time. Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents born in August are also in luck, as they can enjoy free entry to the Moonlight Flight with every paying guest.
If you already have plans on National Day but would still like to marvel at the Little Red Dot from above, don’t worry. From 9th August-8th September 2024, Singapore Residents can book a pair of tickets for just $59 (U.P. $80).
