Singapore’s nothing short of things to do during the weekend. Speaking of which, *SCAPE will be hosting a series of Youth Month Activities this July, with a medley of live performances and activities you can enjoy throughout the weekends of the month.
Expect exciting K-pop dance battles, live graffiti painting, and performances by regional artists. And where might these activities be held, you ask? Well, they can all be conveniently found at Somerset.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th gen K-pop fan. We can all agree that there are endless catchy bops in the K-pop universe. If you’ve already rewatched your favourite group’s MVs multiple times, consider catching the Dance Dance Hallyu 2024: 2024 K-Pop World Festival (Preliminary Round) instead for an IRL experience.
This dance and singing competition is where local aspiring singers or dancers demonstrate their skills. You can be sure that they’ll bring their A game as the 1st and 2nd place from the dance category and the winner of the vocal category will be representing Singapore in the 2024 K-Pop World Festival in Changwon. Yes, the motherland of K-pop.

Graffiti may be illegal in Singapore, but not at events like the Somerset GraffJam Vol 2. Here, 28 graffiti whizzes from the region will showcase their artwork IRL. Watch as they create unique graphics from scratch, and how they use each intricate stroke to eventually form a mural.
Adding to the vibes is 5210PM, a crew of DJs who will be spinning tunes on deck. You can also check out the pop-up booths here, which includes merchandise from The Blackbook and various local street artists, as well as apparel from local clothing line, Subclture.
You won’t just be admiring the mastery from a distance, either. Take part in a hands-on spray painting session on the wall from 3pm-4pm, and 5pm-6pm. There’ll also be a mini graffiti competition where artists battle it out and showcase their skills, so stay tuned for that.
