World Gourmet Summit 2015 Lets You Dine With The Best Chefs Around The Globe

Food events have become somewhat of a regular occurrence in Singapore. It seems like every other week there’s a new top restaurant or best bartender award being presented. Who really knows what’s real anymore? The World Gourmet Summit (WGS) will be here from 6 April to 3 May 2015 to sort things out.

The summit is more than a fancy awards ceremony, there will also be various cooking workshops, dinners, and events hosted and presented by some of the best chefs in the world. It’s also an opportunity to meet and learn from some of the best chefs in the world during exclusive cooking lessons. If you’re lucky enough, you can secure a reservation to try some of their best dishes right here in Singapore. 

Here are some of the coolest events this year:

 

Hands-On Workshop Featuring Yohhei Sasaki ($98)

 

b2ap3_thumbnail_Yohhei-Sasaki.jpgExecutive Chef of the popular Italian joint Forlino will pass on some of the skills he learned from three years of working in Michelin starred restaurants during his master classes. So put your apron on and get cooking!

The Macallan Masters of Taste By El Celler De Can Roca ($688)

 

b2ap3_thumbnail_Masters-of-Taste.jpgVoted the best restaurant in the world in 2104, and runner up this year, El Celler De Can Roca is bringing their three Michelin star prowess to Singapore along with some of the best whisky in the world. This 8 course meal will be hosted in Bacchanalia, one of strongest players in the restaurant scene. It’s a hefty price, but considering what’s offered, isn’t a bad deal!

Scottish Seafood Dinner featuring Dallas Cuddy ($218)

The Scotts are known for their scrumptious langoustines (little lobsters) as well as delicious salmon. No Scottish dinner is complete without some whiskey, Highland Park will be presenting some of their best stuff specially paired with the menu items to round out your meal.

Culinary Masterclass at Miele featuring Christophe Muller ($228)

Be guided by the chef of one of the most famous restaurants in the world as you sear, fry and flip your way to a delicious dinner with the man himself.
