W Singapore Just Got A Massive Glow-Up, Here’s Everything New From Ice Baths To Super King Beds

W Singapore – Sentosa Cove

If you’ve lived in Singapore long enough, you know that W Singapore – Sentosa Cove has always been that one cool cousin of the hotel world. It’s the place where you go when you want to feel like a high-flyer, even if you’re just there for a weekend staycay to escape the CBD madness. But let’s be real; even the coolest icons need a glow-up eventually.

After months of being under construction and mysterious hoarding, the curtain has finally been lifted. W Singapore has officially entered its new era with a massive revamp that covers everything from the rooms you sleep in to the spa where you sweat out your stress. We went down to see if the refresh lives up to the hype. Here is everything you need to know about the new and improved W Singapore.

The new vibe is tropical sanctuary meets city chic

The first thing you’ll notice is that the hotel doesn’t have its loud neon colours anymore.

W Lobby that overlooks the pool.

Instead, they’ve gone for a theme they call a “Tropical Microcosm.” In plain English, it means they’ve taken the best parts of Singapore – the sleek, straight lines of our skyscrapers and the wild, messy greenery of Sentosa – and mashed them together.

W Lounge has a cafe that serves Tanamera Coffee and bakes.

Expect lots of deep blues inspired by the marina right outside, warm wood panels, and carpets so plush you’ll be tempted to walk around barefoot. It feels grounded but a little bit surreal, like you’ve stepped into a very expensive, very well-designed dream.

The rooms come with bigger beds & sunset orange sofas

Let’s talk about the most important part of any staycation: the room. If you’re the type who likes to sprawl out like a starfish in bed, you’re in luck.

The new rooms feature Super King or Double Queen beds. These are notably larger than your standard hotel beds, so you won’t have to worry about your partner kicking you in their sleep.

The standout feature, however, is the new vibrant coral-orange sofa fitted into every room. It’s specifically coloured to match the glow of a Sentosa sunset. Aside from being a prime spot next to the natural light spilling in from the balcony for your “I woke up like this” IG photos, it actually doubles as an extra bed. So, if you’re planning a girls’ night in or a family stay, nobody has to squeeze.

What else is new? 65-inch TVs, perfect for a Netflix marathon when you’re too lazy to head to the pool, and Nespresso machines because we all need that caffeine hit before facing the world.

Even the bathrooms have got a major upgrade, now featuring rainforest showers, high-end MOMO amenities, and bathtubs that are actually deep enough to soak in.

Go full in with your pampering staycay by donning their luxurious bathrobes and adding complimentary salts to your bath.

Room categories & damage to your bank account

Rates usually start from around $480 per night for an entry-level room, but here’s a quick breakdown of the revamped categories:

Room category Rates Size Notable features
Deluxe Room From $480/night 430sqft-452sqft; fits up to 3 pax Lush greenery views of the island, great for privacy
Premiere Room From $550/night 430sqft; fits up to 3 pax Private balcony overlooking the yachts
Premiere Deluxe Room From $570/night 430sqft; fits up to 3 pax Balcony looking over the iconic WET Deck
Away Room From $680/night 398sqft-495sqft; fits up to 3 pax Comes with your own private plunge pool
W Suite From $960/night 861sqft; fits up to 4 pax Massive living area and bathroom; plus top-tier marina views

All rooms have a choice of either 1 Super King bed or 2 Queen beds.

W Suites have separate bedrooms and living rooms.

The W Suite is indulgent at its max, but if you are indeed feeling indulgent, it’s well worth your money. You’ve got a private balcony overlooking the marina all to yourself and a massive bathroom half the size of most HDB flats in Singapore.

For the extra lavish lifestyle,  you’ve also got the choice to stay in their ultra premium suites – Penthouse, Supreme Suite, Escape Suite. And AWAY Suite – all of which come with their own private pools.

The 24/7 pool & slide will be the highlights of your staycay

Speaking of pools, The WET Deck is arguably the most famous pool in Singapore, and for good reason. It’s one of the few hotel pools in the country that is open 24/7. Want to go for a midnight swim under the stars? Yup, you can!

The pool area is massive at over 1,200sqm, and features underwater speakers, so you can literally hear the music while you’re doing your laps.

For the families with young ones or the “big kids”, there’s a water slide tucked away that adds a bit of old-school fun to the luxury setting. Yes, adults we’re looking at you; you’re encouraged to go on it multiple times too.

Pro tip: If you’re there on a weekend afternoon, the Sunset Sessions from 3pm to 6pm feature live DJs, turning the pool into a full-blown beach club vibe.

Sunday Brunch with a seafood wall & boozy free-flow

You cannot talk about W Singapore without mentioning the food. Their Sunday Brunch, happening every Sunday from 12pm to 3pm at the kitchen table, is legendary.

We’re talking about an extravagant seafood spread stacked with fresh oysters, lobsters, crabs and prawns that’ll make any seafood lover weak in the knees.

Aside from the seafood, there are live stations for classic roasts, local favourites with a fancy twist, and a dessert table that usually includes a chocolate fountain.

The Perks: Brunch goers get complimentary pool access from 3pm to 7pm. So, you can eat your weight in lobster and then go digest it on a pool float even if you aren’t a staying guest at the hotel.

DIY Bloody Mary cocktail station and freshly made seafood paella.

It usually goes from $128++/adult for the non-alcoholic version, or $198++/adult if you want to go all out with free-flow Moët & Chandon Champagne. Kids from 7-12 years old dine at 50% off, 4-6 years old at $40++, while 3 and under dine for free.

Ice baths, infrared saunas & massages at AWAY Spa

If your idea of a holiday is doing absolutely nothing, the AWAY Spa is where you want to be. It has been given a major facelift, designed to look like a rainforest sanctuary.

The coolest new addition literally is the ice baths. If you’ve seen athletes jumping into tubs of ice on TikTok for recovery, this is your chance to try it while on staycation. If you prefer the heat, the infrared sauna is much more comfortable than a traditional steam room, as it warms your body directly rather than just making the air hot and stuffy.

Hotel guests have complimentary access to all these wellness facilities, while outsiders can purchase a day pass for $55.

Of course, you’ve also got the option of booking one of their services, like a 45-minute Body Treatment Glow ($95), 90-minute Detox Facial ($255), or 60-minute Reset Massage ($185). There are also spa packages from $335 where you can combine body scrubs, wraps or facials with massages.

After Dark: A new party series featuring international DJs

For the night owls, the hotel has launched After Dark at WOOBAR. This isn’t your typical hotel bar music. It’s a dedicated recurring music series bringing in international talent. The first big one happened on 7th February 2026, headlined by DJ XI.

The vibe at WOOBAR during these events is meant to feel a bit more underground and edgy. If you’re tired of heading to the same 3 clubs in the city, this is a solid alternative with the added bonus of being able to stumble upstairs to your bed once the lights come on.

Keep a lookout for the next party in April on their socials at @wsingapore.

Enjoy free experiences like DJ classes & quick massages

We Singaporeans love a good lobang, and the new W Singapore has plenty of them. They’ve introduced a curated program of activities that are actually fun, and many are completely free for guests.

Depending on which day you stay, you could find yourself in an invigorating workout session or getting a 10-minute express shoulder massage by the pool. Our favourite? The DJ Masterclass. You can actually learn how to spin decks with the hotel’s resident DJ. It’s way more interesting than your standard hotel gym session.

Going green

Usually, when hotels talk about “sustainability,” it feels like a lecture. At W Singapore, they’ve made it quite seamless.

You won’t find those tiny plastic water bottles anymore. Instead, they’ve installed in-room water filtration taps. It’s basically high-quality chilled water on demand – no plastic waste, no waiting for housekeeping to bring more bottles.

With over 680 solar panels on the roof, they’re generating enough clean energy to power a small village. Even your breakfast is eco-friendly; the hotel is Farm-to-Table certified, meaning a lot of what you’re eating is grown locally, reducing the carbon footprint of your breakfast.

Is a staycation at W Singapore worth the trip to Sentosa?

W Singapore – Sentosa Cove has managed to do something difficult: they’ve upgraded the luxury while still keeping the fun elements. It still feels like a playground for adults and kids alike, but one that’s a bit more thoughtful, a lot more sustainable, and definitely more comfortable.

Whether you’re looking to learn how to DJ, face an ice bath at the AWAY Spa, or just want to rot in a Super King bed after a massive seafood buffet, the revamp has a bit of everything. It’s pampering, but liberated, meaning you can show up in your slippers or your Sunday best, and you’ll fit right in.
