It’s not every day that we get to have a taste of extreme sports here on our little island. Wanna go surfing? The biggest wave we have is the Kallang Wave – we love our iconic NDP jig, but still. That changed back in 2023 with the opening of TRIFECTA by The Ride Side, a sports facility in the heart of Somerset built around a skate bowl, surfing simulator, and snowboard and ski slopes.
Since then, it’s grown into something bigger. As of July 2026, TRIFECTA has launched its next chapter: adding a permanent home for pickleball collective Pickle & Bones; an outdoor sauna and ice bath setup by Reva Social Wellness; and an upgraded surf and snow school. There’s also a free-to-use outdoor gym that’s set to be ready by the end of the year.

TRIFECTA’s expansion brings a handful of genuinely new spaces into the mix, alongside upgrades to the original 3 arenas. Here’s what’s just opened, or is about to.
Pickle & Bones, the streetball-spirited pickleball social group founded by creator-entrepreneur Adrian Ang, is now permanently based at TRIFECTA, complete with its own sheltered rooftop court. It’s less about competitive play and more about culture and community, with sessions capped at 12 players and running for an hour at a time.
To book the court, log in to your Playbypoint account, choose the date and time slot, and make payment to secure your spot. For $70.85/hour, you’ll get to bounce around the full court, with balls and paddles available for rent daily from 10am-10pm.

For recovery, Reva Social Wellness is Singapore’s largest semi-outdoor Finnish sauna, paired with ice baths and a hot pool in a communal, open-air setting. It’s built around contrast therapy, and isn’t just for athletes fresh off a session, but for anyone looking for a relaxing me-time in the middle of town.
The recommended journey is to start with the sauna, followed by 2-5 minutes in one of the cold pools – one is kept around 5°C, while the other is between 10°C and 14°C. End with the hot pool where waters are around 41°C, allowing the heat to melt your stress away.
The hot and cold baths overlook the surf pool on one side and the street on the other.
Reva is also expanding into Wim Hof workshops, which teach breathing techniques; guided sauna sessions with gua sha; and a weekly run club. There’s no need to book in advance either. Simply drop in for a $38 day pass or buy a package from $172-$1,290 for multiple sessions.
This replaces Butter, the Two Men Bagel House collab that anchored TRIFECTA’s dining when it first opened in 2023.
TRIFECTA Riders’ Lounge is now the hangout spot at TRIFECTA, anchored by a menu from Yeast Side. Think focaccia sandwiches ($15-$19) and sourdough pizzas ($18-$24), alongside craft beers on tap, coffee, and matcha.
We really enjoyed the dish, Let’s Caulihummus ($16), that came with arugula and pomegranate.
Some highlights to rave about include the Hold My Salami ($23) and Salmon Mentaiko ($24) pizzas.
It’s rounded out by a photography gallery curated by Leica and a Vinyl Bar by JBL. A nod to the facility, photos of adventures on snowy mountains and oceans hang from the ceiling, offering a snapshot of what it would be like to practice the sports on natural terrain.
And, yes, feel free to pick a vinyl and listen to the album with the players in the lounge. In fact, you can bring your own vinyl too and share your favourite tunes with fellow lounge patrons.
If the weather is feeling like outdoors is an option, there’s also a new pet-friendly alfresco dining space from where you can watch skaters at The Bowl.
Come the end of the year, TRIFECTA will also open The Jungle Gym, a free-to-use fitness corner designed for functional training and bodyweight conditioning in an open-air setting. No pass or booking needed here, so it’s worth swinging by even if you’re not signed up for a session elsewhere in the complex.
Chasing the trifecta – known in the board sports world when one dabbles in surfing, skateboarding, and snowboarding – is notoriously difficult. After all, it’s not often one can find a location to do all these activities in 1 place. But at TRIFECTA, thrillseekers can try all these sports without ever having to grab their passports, and now without leaving Somerset’s newest community club, either.
Conveniently located right next to Somerset MRT, the 49,611sqft facility comprises 3 main arenas – skate, surf, and snow – with the last arena offering both snowboarding and skiing. It’s all beginner-friendly too, so if you’ve never tried winter sports, here’s your chance to learn something new.
TRIFECTA Surf Club is home to Southeast Asia’s biggest Citywave surf pool, with water columns stretching to a whopping 1.5m. The high-tech wave pool promises plenty of waves to ride on, so it’s time to pull out some slick moves.
As part of the 2026 refresh, the surf club has also launched curated surf trips beyond Singapore for those looking to take their skills to actual open water.
$109 for a drop-in off-peak class and $130.80 for peak hours 5pm onwards.
If you have second thoughts and fear a wipeout, sign up for a beginner class, and the experienced instructors will guide you on essentials such as footwork and weight distribution.
During this class, a bar is placed across the surf pool to help you learn balance without falling down too many times.
They also offer safety tips such as covering your face immediately if you fall from the board, which you must be ready for given that your legs will give out at some point.
If getting wet is not your kinda thing, you can chill out at the viewing area, where rattan couches and sofas are available for you to hang loose and watch the surfers catch waves.

For a Singaporean, cruising down snowy mountains on skis or snowboards often requires a lengthy plane ride. At TRIFECTA, there’s a white astroturf-lined carpet that works like a treadmill, complete with variable speeds, as well as horizontal and vertical inclines.
As part of the 2026 revamp, TRIFECTA Snowboard & Ski School has extended its freestyle slope and refined its curriculum, with VR and projector capabilities in the works to bridge the gap between the slopes here and the real mountains, alongside curated snow trips for riders looking to progress all the way to the actual ski slopes.
Classes are also available for those wishing to carve up the snow without booking a flight overseas.
As a complete beginner whose only idea of snowboarding was watching others do it on YouTube, I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, I still felt that I was in good hands thanks to the experienced instructors. Not only did they help us don our boots and choose our boards, they also conducted a safety briefing and ensured that we had all our protective gear on before hitting the slopes.
Over the course of 45 minutes, we covered the basics of snowboarding, such as moving forward, side to side, and slowing down and speeding up – all under the watchful eye of the instructors. To cater to us novices, they lowered the machine speed and stopped it any time someone fell.
For the more experienced folks, there are also 2 dry slope areas, one equipped with a ramp and the other with a rail. There, skiers and snowboarders can practice tricks such as jumps, flips or jibs – where skiers or snowboarders slide on rails – before safely landing on a giant airbag.
Fun fact: The skate bowl can also double up as a rainwater harvesting area, much like the pools it was styled after.
The skate arena, now known as The Bowl, is modelled after the dry backyard pools of California. It also caters to surf skaters – think surfing but on land with skateboards.
It’s had a refresh as part of TRIFECTA’s 2026 relaunch too, with a fresh coat of paint and more comfortable seating for viewing and hanging out, on top of its role as a flexible outdoor venue for skating, gigs, and community programming.
If you’d like to channel your inner Tony Hawk, classes are available with skilled instructors there to guide you through the basics. Otherwise, you can always hang out on the viewing deck and watch the pros do ollies and other tricks.

You can also watch for free from the roof viewing deck, which offers an expansive view of all 3 arenas.

Just as manners maketh man, gear maketh hero – and The Ride Side Up’s flagship store brims with gear for all 4 board sports. Ranging from high-performance surfboards to roller bearings for skateboards, there’s a massive collection of merch, apparel, and sports equipment.
The store also serves as the natural gathering point for Singapore’s snowboard and ski community, and hosts Feel the Stoke, its annual winter season launch party for riders heading to the mountains.

Nothing can replace skiing down an actual mountain, or hitting the waves at Canggu. But with a sauna, a free gym, and pickleball courts now added to the mix, TRIFECTA has gone from a nifty solution for board sports fans to a proper hangout spot in the heart of Orchard Road, board sports background or not.
