Thrift shopping at Thryft Hub in Tiong Bahru
I think it’s safe to say that the majority of Singaporeans enjoy thrift shopping, whether for unique, vintage clothing styles or purely for the vibes. Thryft Hub is yet another store you can add to the list of stores to visit with your besties, where you can find second-hand apparel, books, and vinyl records.
What is Thryft Hub?

Thryft Hub is a second-hand store selling books, clothes, and vinyls. The concept started as a project by a group of friends and quickly became one of the largest brands to thrift in Singapore.
Once located at the former Peace Centre, the store has since moved to a humble area in Telok Blangah. If you plan to head down via public transport, take the MRT to Tiong Bahru station, followed by a 15-minute stroll or an 8-minute bus ride.

Second-hand book titles

The first thing you’ll notice in-store is the massive selection of second-hand novels on the shelves. Since the books are all pre-loved, it’s no surprise that titles here are going for cheaper than you’ll find at other bigger bookstore chains in Singapore.
Browse genres like horror, young adult, children’s storybooks, memoirs, cookbooks, and personal development reads.

Avid bookworms or collectors, you’ll be thrilled to know there’s a collection of vintage and rare books. Not typically found in regular stores, the range includes classics and hard-to-find reads, from colourful and light-hearted Marvel comics to more political and history-based ones.

We don’t make the rules, but we can agree that clothes are a must-have in every thrift store. From casual blouses to formal suits, Thryft Hub is the perfect place to be if you want to switch up your style and wardrobe for cheap.
The clothes are up to 90% off retail prices. Dig deep, and you may find hidden treasures from brands like Lovet, Zara, and G2000. There’s a variety of women’s and men’s clothing, with an inclusive size range from XS to XXL.

The return of vinyl records has been a trend for quite some time. Records at Thryft Hub aren’t the cheapest, but you’ll be able to spot unique and vintage pieces from the 80s and 90s from artists such as Kenny Rogers, The Beatles, and Elton John.
It’s music to the ears for everyone, whether you’re into jazzy classics, hardcore punk or even mandopop.
There’s also an in-house turntable where you can test the quality of the vinyl before making your purchase, especially since they’re pre-loved.

Donate pre-loved items for store credits

Chinese New Year’s approaching, and it’s about time we start spring cleaning. Thryft Hub welcomes all donations with open arms, so consider trading in any pre-loved items instead of throwing them out. Apart from the obvious, they’ve expanded their inventory and now accept children’s toys, board games, game consoles, and electronics.
The best part is that you’ll be given store credits in exchange for your generosity. These credits can be used to shop in-store or on their website, so find out more about how you can donate to Thryft.
Shop or donate thrifting items at Thryft Hub
We bet the thrifting scene in Singapore will only get bigger, with prominent pop-ups like The Hammock Market. It is a way to shop sustainably, and you can also explore new styles with different, unique pieces. No longer will you be showing up in surprise twinning outfits with your classmates or colleagues.
