Besides queuing up for concert tickets, nothing unites Singaporeans more than food. So it makes sense that we have a whole festival dedicated to our nation’s favourite hobby – eating. Enter Singapore Food Festival 2023, which is returning from 19th-30th July 2023 at Bayfront Event Space.
This year’s highlights include more than 100 vendors, an old-school mama shop, and 3 new zones at the Festival Village. If we’ve got your attention, read on for the full scoop.

The Festival Village is back this year with 3 new zones: Sweets Alley, Cafe Boulevard, and Food Cartel. This is in addition to SG Food Walk, an existing zone dedicated to all things Singaporean cuisine. Think local dishes such as curry chicken fried popiah ($12) from Mr. Popiah and bakmie hae bee hiam ($15) – Indonesian-style dry noodles with hae bee hiam sambal – from Kulon.

Sweets Alley is exactly what it sounds like. Imagine the candy house from Hansel and Gretel, but with traditional desserts such as ang ku kueh from Ji Xiang Ang Ku Kueh, alongside ice cream from Creamier with locally-inspired flavours like waffled putu piring ($6/scoop).
If cafe-hopping is one of your favourite things to do in Singapore, make a beeline for Cafe Boulevard. This is where you’ll find your favourite local cafes and bakeries such as Le Matin – famed for pastries like its kouign amann ($7) – and (working title). The latter will be serving up coffee ($4), dirty bandung slushies ($6) and burgers (from $10).
Psst, there’s even an Oatside food truck where you can order a chocolate coffee with chocolate chips ($5) that uses the plant-based milk alternative.
Should you need to escape the humidity, Food Cartel is an air-conditioned space within the Festival Village. Put your chef hats on and learn tips and tricks from international and local chefs at culinary masterclasses, or create your own personalised granola bag with granola cafe Dearborn.
That’s not all for Singapore Food Festival 2023. There’s also SG Mama Shop where you can relive old-school nostalgia. It’s stocked up with timeless brands such as Camel, known for their nuts and snacks, and new-generation snacks from start-ups like Plucked, Ooh Mala, and Hook Coffee.
While you’re there, we’d recommend picking up a few packs of freeze-dried fruits ($4) from Plucked – these make healthier options as an office pantry snack than munching on chips.
Whether you’re a foodie or want to surprise a loved one, Singapore Food Festival 2023 is one event that should definitely be on your calendar this July. Single entry passes start from $8/pax, which gives you access to SG Food Walk, Sweets Alley, Cafe Boulevard, The Grounds, SG Mama Shop, Durian BB Park, and Tiger Street Food.

To make the most of your experience, there are also options such as a multi-entry premium pass ($18/pax) and a drinking pass ($28). Both grant you access to all the zones, plus the added benefit of hanging out at the air-conditioned Food Cartel. You get one free drink with the multi-entry premium pass – and if you’re a booze appreciator, the drinking pass also includes a free beer and cocktail.
You don’t have to bring cash with you either, because the SFF Festival Village only accepts modes of digital payment such as credit cards and NETS.
