InstaKindness with Singa 2019
In celebration of Singapore’s Bicentennial and our 54th National Day, the Singapore Kindness Movement presents InstaKindness with Singa, held at Raffles City Shopping Centre from now till 18th August 2019.
Showcasing a blast from the past coupled with new-age event highlights, the pop-up features beloved childhood icon Singa the Lion alongside Instagrammable murals, interactive exhibits and claw machines jam-packed with adorable Singa merch.
Singa the Lion colouring wall mural, ball pit, figurine painting & claw machines
Now the ultimate symbol of nostalgia, Singa the Lion was first introduced all the way back in 1982. The InstaKindness with Singa pop-up lets you savour a bunch of activities which cast a spotlight on the familiar cutie, and you can even win some prizes or bring home exclusive Singa the Lion merch as memorable keepsakes.
Stroll past the Colouring Wall Mural with some markers in hand to add your own little bursts of colour to it, in all shades of the rainbow.
The entire mural spans 5 metres, featuring icons of both Singapore and the Singapore Kindness Movement.
From nostalgic landmarks like the Toa Payoh dragon to world-renowned sights like the Jewel Changi waterfall, see how many you can spot!
On the flipside of the mural is a photo wall, where you can grab some props for an added touch of 3-dimensional pizzazz to your shots. We can’t get enough of the adorable “doodled” aesthetic!
Hop on over to Make A Splash With Kindness, a ball pit that’s designed to look like a swimming pool so you can wade in positive vibes.
The best part is that there’s no age restriction to take a dip, meaning no need to feel paiseh about being a big kid who’s young at heart!
Partake in the Mini Singa Figurine Painting activity to score yourself a one-of-a-kind masterpiece to cherish for years to come. All you have to do is snap some pictures with any of the exhibits at the pop-up and post it on Instagram with the hashtag #BeGreaterSG.
You’ll then be given a limited edition, uncoloured mini Singa figurine, which you’re free to transform at the colouring station on-site, or anywhere else you desire.
*Limited to 100 figurines per day
If you’re an arcade whizz who specialises in snagging big wins from the crane game, try your hand at Singa’s Paw Machine.
Chock full of exclusive Singapore Kindness Movement merch, $1 will get you 2 tries to kiap various goodies such as Singa plushies, figurines, pins and more.
Instagram contest: Post a pic to win a Singa Hamper
Make sure to hashtag #BeGreaterSG for all the IG shots you post of the pop-up. One lucky winner with the best photo will be selected to win an awesome Singa Hamper, filled with unique goodies from the Kindness Gallery.
CapitaLand Hope Foundation will also be donating $5 to the President’s Challenge charity fund for every post under the #BeGreaterSG hashtag, so you’ll be doing your part for the less fortunate as well.
The winner will be chosen at the end of August, so swing by the pop-up as many times as you can to snap a couple of new shots each time. A few extra entries in the giveaway won’t hurt 😉
If you’ve ever dreamt of seeing your favourite mascot come to life, mark your calendars for the following dates from 12PM-2PM as well as 5PM-7PM to catch a living, breathing Singa the Lion in action: 9th – 12 August and 17th & 18th August 2019.
