You Can Now Enter Sentosa For Free Via Car Or Monorail Till The End Of The Year

Free entry to Sentosa

These days, the closest we’ll get to travelling “out” of Singapore is a trip to Sentosa for a weekend staycation or picnic by the beach. If you’ve been taking that long walk across the boardwalk just to save on entry fees, Sentosa is offering free entry via Sentosa Express and drive-in to save you that time and effort.

Getting into Sentosa

If you’re entering via monorail at VivoCity, all you need to do is to tap in using your EZ-Link card and you’ll enter for free (U.P $4). This only works with EZ-Link cards – meaning you won’t be able to use your debit or credit cards to gain entry. If you don’t have an EZ-Link card with you, simply approach a service ambassador to request for free entry.

Driving-in

You’ll be able to save on that $6 entry fee with free entry for cars – simply drive in. If your vehicle doesn’t have a locally-registered IU, you’ll need to tap your Autopass Card at the entry booths to enjoy free entry too. Motorcycles aren’t allowed in, so if you own one remember to take the monorail or Grab down instead.

Grab discounts

You can shave $5 off your Grab ride into Sentosa until 31st December 2020 with the promo code “SentosaFun”. This way, you’ll be able to travel from your house to Tanjong Beach Club without going through the hassle of sweating it out on the long walk in – all while saving money!

Enjoy discounts on attractions in Sentosa

AJ Hackett and HydroDash

While you’re there, check out some of the attractions by the beach such as HydroDash (from $18) and AJ Hackett (from $49) for activities that’ll get your heart pumping. For some family-friendly fun for smaller kids, you can also visit Universal Studios Singapore and the SEA Aquarium for some entertaining Halloween-inspired activities and freebies.

Even though we can’t yet travel to Bali or The Maldives for our tropical holiday, we can still have fun under the sun at Sentosa. For a relaxing weekend getaway from our hectic work life that is now literally at home, you can head down to Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort for a 5-star resort experience from $310/night (U.P. $683/night).

There’s nothing better than a relaxing afternoon on the beach working on your tan. But if you’re planning to visit on a weekend, you’ll need to make a booking online to secure a spot on the beach starting from 17th October. Bookings for each weekend open 7 days in advance, so make your reservations early to avoid disappointment!

Getting there: Monorail from Vivocity level 3
Monorail operating hours: 7AM-12AM
