Sign Up For This New Eco-Friendly Run, Proceeds Go Towards Rewilding The Green Corridor

PUB Green Run

With many of us turning to exercise to burn both free time and calories from our dabao-ed meals, the popularity of virtual runs is on the rise. We’ve seen Garfield Runs, Beer-themed runs and even Gudetama Walks. Joining them is PUB Green Run, returning this year for a good cause.

Run 3KM or 10KM to help rewild the green corridor

Those who’ve been avid runners for a while now may be familiar with the Green Corridor Run. From 2013 – 2016, it was a popular run that took place along the Rail Corridor. Before it was forced into a hiatus due to works on the Murnane Pipeline, tickets were sold out every year.

This 2021, the run finally returns as PUB Green Run – a virtual edition, so everyone can sign up and complete their distance at a location of choice. In this edition, $10 from every sign up will also go towards Nature Society’s efforts to rewild the Rail Corridor, by planting 6,000 trees to restore the natural habitat.

Some running routes to consider:

Runners can choose to sign up for one of two race categories: the classic 10KM Category ($46/participant) is perfect for those looking to hit their fitness goals. Alternatively, there’s also a 3KM Family Category ($41.70/adult, $37.50/kid) for a healthy family bonding activity.

Be sure to adhere to safe distancing measures from now till 24th October 2021!

Race the clock to get a personal best, or take it nice and easy. There’s no time limit for this race and every participant gets the race entitlements of a courier-delivered lightweight running cap for signing up, and a finisher’s medal upon competition of the run.

The run can be tracked on your preferred fitness tracker app, including Strava and Runkeeper, or on the official PUB Green Run app (iOS, Android).
