It isn’t National Day season without hearing the crooning voices of Taufik Batisah, Stephanie Sun, and Tanya Chua in every supermarket and shopping mall. The day of reds and whites is right around the corner, and there’s no more iconic way of celebrating Singapore’s birthday than catching the annual display of fireworks.
To those who were hoping to catch the fireworks while enjoying the waterfront views at Marina Bay, we’ve got sad news for you: the NDP 2026 fireworks this year will only go off from the Kallang Basin. Fret not, as we’ve compiled a list of restaurants and bars where you can enjoy the fireworks over a lovely dinner. Some have NDP set meals, others have beer brewed on-site, and last we checked, all of them still have seats for the actual celebration on 9th August 2025.

Aside from the show on 9th August 2026, you can still catch previews for the National Day Parade on 11th, 18th, and 25th July as well as 1st August 2026. The pyrotechnic displays will begin from 7.30pm onwards, with the finale set to go off at around 8.30pm.
Do note that firework timings may vary during the rehearsals, with one of the practice rounds seeing the display only past 9pm. However, we’re expecting that the fireworks displays will go off on time during the show on 9th August.
Since NDP is being celebrated at the National Stadium this year, the best seats to view the fireworks display are around Kallang itself. The number of dining options with a view of the pyrotechnic display is quite limited, so you’ll want to make reservations ASAP. BTW, the fireworks might also be a little hard to see from inside these establishments, but a quick walk out of their Kallang-Basin-facing exits will grant you an unbeatable view of the NDP fireworks.
Celebrate the nation’s birthday with a visit to the classic pub, Al Capone’s. Located right along the perimeter of Kallang Wave Mall, with both indoor and outdoor seating, you’ll get front-row seats to the pyrotechnic works happening over the Kallang Basin.
Another bonus is the pub’s affordable beer, with full pints of Guinness going at just $8.80 and a 3L Heineken tower at $39. Dig into their selection of both mains and small bites like the Scarface Pizza (from $14.90) or Wild Mushroom & Zucchini Risotto ($14.90) while enjoying the view of the fireworks. The best part is, the fun doesn’t stop after the NDP show is over – with the bar streaming the latest football match, you’re in for a fun-filled night.
A good live seafood restaurant is hard to come by, much less one that’s affordable. Well, we’ve got a restaurant that offers both, and a good view of the NDP fireworks – Ji Xian Seafood & Hong Kong Dim Sum Express.
Known for their Hong Kong-style seafood and dim sum made from seafood fished right out of their on-site tanks, the restaurant offers classic dishes like the Tiger Prawns Drunken Style with Herbs (500g at $37) and more exotic options such as the Steamed Scotland Bamboo Clams ($16), which features tender shellfish and glass vermicelli, seasoned with minced garlic and soy sauce. If you’re looking to indulge in the nation’s most popular shellfish, the restaurant also has a wide variety of live crabs like the mud crab (from $86/kg).
For the best views of the fireworks, you’ll want to get seats at the family tables located right next to the floor-to-ceiling windows.
The fireworks may not be going off at Marina Bay this year, but that doesn’t mean you can’t catch a good view of the display there. These sky-high restaurants offer a bird’s-eye view of the celebrations, plus they serve good food, making it perfect for a date night out with your loved one. While you might not get the closest view of the fireworks, these spots make up for it with a spectacular view of Singapore’s skyline.

We’re no strangers to the Asian fusion restaurant and bar CÉ LA VI. Situated on Level 57 of Marina Bay Sands (MBS), you’ll be granted a 360° panoramic view of Singapore’s skyline, including the Kallang Basin. Begin your dinner by starting off with the Mushroom Truffle Korokke ($22) and indulge in mains such as the Miso Chilean Seabass ($68).
If you’re simply looking for a good view of the fireworks, CÉ LA VI is also offering general entry tickets to its sky bar and club lounge, priced at $68 for entry before 8.30pm and $48 for entry after 8.30pm. Both options include 1 drink, and if you’re looking to celebrate with your family, children under 12 years old enter for free.

Located on the 43rd floor of the Ocean Financial Centre, Altro Zafferano offers both Italian cuisine and a panoramic view of the NDP fireworks.
The restaurant also has NDP specials, including a 5-course dinner menu ($248 per pax, $198 early bird price) that includes exclusive access to the terrace lounge, where you’ll get to view the fireworks from an even better vantage point. If you’re not looking to dig into Tuna Chutoro Tartare and European Lobster, both part of the NDP dinner course, there is also a range of a la carte options, such as the Salsa di Fegato d’Anatra e Brioche ($58), which features a wagyu beef tenderloin Rossini style, foie gras sauce, brioche crust, and is topped with truffle. They’ve even got sharing options like the Cacciucco di Mare ($86), a traditional Italian seafood stew.

Andaz Singapore’s Mr. Stork needs no introduction as one of the best bars in Singapore for stunning views. Perched 39 storeys up, it boasts views of the Kallang Basin, giving you a great vantage point of the fireworks even though they’re no longer launching from Marina Bay.
While table options facing the National Stadium have been booked out, there are still teepee huts available for reservations. With a wide selection of locally inspired bites to choose from, you can dig into options like the Nasi Lemak Ball-Leh (9 pieces for $20) or the iconic Mr. Stork Sliders (3 pieces for $25), which feature a black Angus patty topped with IPA-braised onion jam.

ICYMI, there’s a restaurant at the Marina Bay Financial Centre with its own microbrewery. LeVeL 33, otherwise known as the world’s highest microbrewery in a building, is dishing out not just beers brewed onsite but also food inspired by the brewing process of beers. Oh, and of course, panoramic views of the city.
Choose from their menu of freshly brewed craft beers (300ml at $16.90, 500ml at $19.90), all brewed by their resident brewmaster. Go for the Blond Lager for a light-bodied, slightly fruity option, or House Porter for subtle malt and chocolate flavours. If you’re looking for something just a bit more special, opt for the LeVeL 33 Brut Beer (300ml at $21, 750ml at $49), which uses the same yeast as Champagne and undergoes a 2nd fermentation in the bottle to give you a dry finish and super fine bubbles.
Besides offering their own brewed beer, LeVeL 33 is also serving up dishes like their Housemade Hummus & Baba Ganoush ($18), which features pistachio dukkah and beer flatbread, as well as the 12-Hour Slow-Cooked Free-Ranged New Zealand Lamb Shoulder ($54). With a good beer in hand and good food in your stomach, catching the NDP fireworks at LeVeL 33 is sure to make for a memorable experience.

Another familiar restaurant perched atop MBS is Lavo, a solid spot with a view of the Kallang Basin from its outdoor dining area.
The restaurant is known for its Italian cuisine – start with the Red Prawn Ceviche ($38) featuring bronze fennel, Sicilian orange, and pepperoncini, before digging into a main like the Grilled Branzino ($48), a dish with European sea bass that’s topped with a Sorrento lemon vinaigrette.

Chances are you’ve experienced squeezing with the throngs of people hoping to catch the annual display of fireworks. For a less crowded option coupled with food to fill your belly, try booking a restaurant for your next viewing experience.
