If you’re active on TikTok, chances are you’ve seen a BE@RBRICK figurine. These bear-shaped figurines have been making waves on social media recently, and for good reason – they’re cute, colourful and incredibly trendy.
Since their inception, they’ve only been available for purchase from “hypebeast” retailers, in set designs. Now, however, you can make your own BE@RBRICK-style figurines at L’Atelier Du Rêve, a newly opened art jamming studio in the heart of Bugis. With unlimited paint and a seemingly endless variety of charms and embellishments, the world is your oyster, or should I say, bear.
Unlike most art jamming studios whose workshops cost a pretty penny, the sessions here are significantly more affordable. $39 gets you a pocket-sized bear figurine which you can decorate to your heart’s content, perfect for if you’re on a budget, but still want to do a little somethin’ special.

The figurines come in a number of different sizes, with the smallest being an 8cm keychain and the largest a massive 75cm figurine. With paints being unlimited, you can unleash your inner Michaelangelo without worrying about running out or incurring extra costs. Still, use only what you need.
Sessions are conducted in small groups – the intimate setting makes it a perfect date night activity, or better yet, a solo art jam sesh.

Decorating the bear is fairly simple – put together a blend of your desired colours, then pour it over the figurine and watch as the colours meld together, creating a marbled effect. Because the paint is poured on, each piece is one-of-a-kind, just like any true work of art.
Located just a 7-minute walk from Bugis MRT station, L’Atelier Du Rêve offers workshops daily from 10am-7pm. All materials are provided and you even get a Polaroid picture with your bear to take home at the end of the session.

They’re even running a 20% off promotion till the end of May, so if you’re thinking about trying it out, now’s your chance. Workshops are carried out on an appointment-only basis, so it is highly recommended that you book your spot well in advance to avoid disappointment.
