Isetan NEX closing down sale
Back in December 2025, it was reported that the Isetan NEX outlet would be closing in April 2026, just 5 months after its Tampines Mall outlet pulled down its shutters in November last year. And for a lot of us who grew up popping in for CNY shopping, last-minute gifts, or just wandering around with our parents, that news stung.
While it’s unfortunate, there’s at least something to look forward to. After its CNY sale, the department store is now running a closing-down sale till 26th April 2026, so if you’ve been meaning to stock up on household bits or random bargains, it’s time to swing by.
Why is Isetan NEX closing down?

Isetan has been in Singapore since 1972, so seeing it slowly disappear from our shopping malls feels like watching a childhood friend move overseas. Its Tampines Mall outlet, which had been there for 30 years, closed after its lease expired, with the brand saying the decision was made after taking into account the “location’s conditions” and “future profitability”.
Add rising rents and the way most of us now prefer shopping online, and you can kinda see why department stores are struggling to keep up.
The exact reason for the NEX outlet closure wasn’t revealed, but when the mall later posted a thank-you on Facebook for Isetan’s 15 years of support, it pretty much confirmed what we were all thinking: this chapter is closing. Once Isetan NEX shuts in April 2026, we’ll be left with just 1 outlet in the whole of Singapore – Isetan Scotts along Orchard Road. So maybe go give it a little more love while we still can.
What to expect at Isetan NEX’s closing-down sale
2 for $60 deals

If you’ve been meaning to replace that half-broken kettle, there’s an Any 2 for $60 section where you can mix and match household essentials like kettles, irons, pots, and pans. Items on sale are from brands you’d recognise, such as Philips, Tefal, Midea, and Tiger.
Some of these promotional items usually already cost more than $60 each, so getting 2 for that price is a steal. Just don’t take too long to think about it – there’s a cap of 60 pieces per item, so once they’re gone, they’re gone. BTW, you won’t be able to redeem or utilise further Isetan Members’ points or discounts, which makes sense since the prices are already slashed.
All-must-go items at low prices

On top of the bundle deals, there’s also a small stash of all-must-go items with heavily discounted prices. One standout is the Philips 3000 Series Drip Coffee Maker – usually $99, but now slashed to $39.
There are only 50 pieces available for each of these deals – it’s very much a see it, grab it situation.
Up to 70% off deals

There are also up to 70% off discounts across kitchenware, cookware, drinkware, tableware, and even electrical appliances – just in time for you to upgrade your home for the upcoming festivities.
Some of the bigger-ticket items are marked down by a few hundred bucks, so it’s not just small change savings here.
One final excuse to walk the aisles at Isetan NEX
Isetan NEX’s closing-down sale is a chance for you to do one last emotional lap around the store. Everything’s while stocks last – if you’re planning to go, maybe bring your parents or grandparents along too for the deals and nostalgia.
