Cue the Harry Potter score, ‘cause it’s time to geek out over another newly opened Harry Potter experience. This time, you can explore your fav world of magic and wonder in a thematically decorated station in Japan.
So, raise your wands and make your way to Akasaka Station to pay your respects to our home away from home. Or you can apparate to this Harry Potter-themed train station in Tokyo to avoid the pesky muggles.
Before you make your way into the station, you’ll find massive banners of the houses of Hogwarts on the Akasaka Biz Tower, located a stone’s throw away from the train station.
Feel free to take a pic with your house and flaunt your Hogwarts pride. Yes, even if you’re a Slytherin.
At the entrance of the train station, you’ll find a massive staircase, resembling the ones in Hogwarts. If anyone ever dares question your wizardry authenticity, feel free to show ‘em your pics climbing the stairs of Hogwarts on the way to class.
Plus, as an added bonus, the pretty starry ceilings add a mystical effect and a pretty cinematic touch.
You’ll also find 42 Hogwarts-style paintings of famous witches n’ wizards. Though we should mention that these paintings won’t be talking back to you or requesting for passwords. It’s best to avoid conversation lest the silly muggles begin praying for your wellbeing.
You’ll also get to see shadows of fan favourite characters. Hint: One of ‘em really loves socks.
Another highlight is the iconic Time-Turner, the magical device Hermione used to travel through time. At this station, you’ll get to witness a massive structure of the Time-Turner and snap cool pics with it.
Though you may not be able to go back in time, perhaps you can use an old-timey filter to really dive into the experience.
If you’re feeling snacky after posing all day, head on over to the Harry Potter cafe located in Akasaka Biz tower. You can get Harry Potter-themed food like Butterbeer and Golden Snitch Chocolate Mousse.
Unless you’re a babbling, bumbling band of baboons, you’d know that the Harry Potter hype ain’t going anywhere. On your next trip to our fav travel getaway, Tokyo, head on over to Akasaka station and flex those wand skills you’ve been practising.
In other words, take your pics, cast your spells, and finally declare mischief managed to call it a day.
