You may remember Stellar GoldenHill opening in Cameron Highlands a while ago. Well, the same folks now bring you Zen By Stellar. Combining the concept of glamping with Japanese-inspired resorts, it’s anything but just another atas glamping site.

The resort consists of just 4 large glamping villas and cottages. So, you can rest assured you’ll have lots of peace and quiet, as well as privacy.

From the private balcony in each villa, you can enjoy sweeping views of Cameron Highlands. And you can do so by soaking in the outdoor wooden bathtub. It’s also the perfect spot to catch the sunrise.

A unique Japanese al fresco experience awaits as you’re provided with an outdoor tatami and tea set-up on the balcony as well. All rooms also come with complimentary breakfast and a fruit platter to kickstart your day.

Yama & Sora Villa Yama and Sora Villas both have an outdoor bath and tatami, but the difference lies in the vantage point and number of guests that can be accommodated.

The Yama and Sora villas are almost identical with 2 exceptions. The Yama Villa (from ~S$381/night) can house 3 adults with a queen and super single bed. The Sora Villa (from ~S$351/night) can only house 2 people, with a king bed. However, it’s placed at the highest vantage point for the best views.

Plus, if you’re driving here, you may park your car at level 1, right under the Sora Villa. Of course, there is parking space for those who have booked the Yama Villa or cottages too, but it is in a separate carpark. Regardless, parking is free for all guests.

For something a little more cosy and affordable, the cottages are a lovely option. Nami Cottage (from ~S$198/night) directly faces the Zen Garden, while Kaku Cottage (from ~S$203/night) is in front of the Zen Cafe. Either way, you’re still moments away from a very Japanese experience.

Plus, both cottages come with a Smart TV, just like the villas, so you’re not short on entertainment options either.

Do note that for cottages, there is no ensuite bathroom, but instead shared bathroom facilities just a short walk away. Even here, the Japanese-inspired decor is evident with the consistent beige colour palette, use of bamboo, and hanging lanterns.

With the whole theme revolving around relaxation, it’s only right that there are spa and massage services offered too. Here you can relieve sore backs and aches from too much OT-ing.

Seating area There are also outdoor seating areas, where you can have a true al fresco dining experience overlooking the Zen garden.

If you’re feeling peckish, head to the Zen Cafe, which serves Japanese cuisine like omakase dishes. You can even take part in a traditional tea ceremony. Sit tight and wait for these services as they only start in September.
