Nothing screams celebration like a bunch of balloons – and just in time to celebrate the March holidays, Marina Square is hosting Floral Wonderland, its biggest floral balloon exhibition to date.
From 15th – 23rd March 2025, bring your kiddos to see an enchanting set up of 300,000 biodegradable balloons, all artfully decorated to form sculptures of colourful flowers, fairies and butterflies that are just as magical to walk through as they are as IG-worthy backdrops.
Floral Wonderland is the 15th edition of Marina Square’s annual balloon exhibition, which takes place around the March holidays period every year. While this year’s takes on a dainty floral theme, last year’s was a fairytale-inspired display with medieval elements like giant balloon castles and fire-breathing dragons.
This year’s event is also a record-breaking one – it’s already been crowned “The Longest Balloon Show in the Mall” by the Singapore Book of Records, and is in the running for the title of “Largest Flower Fiesta” in the Asia Book of Records. We check out the week-long event to see what it’s all about:
Even from a distance away, the enormous balloon flowers at the exhibition instantly caught our eyes. The looming sculptures – some draped from the ceiling and others towering above us at 10 metres tall, – made us feel like we were stepping into a kiddy wonderland, filled with colourful balloons in shades of both bright and pastel hues.
NGL, our first thought was: “This place is definitely Instagrammable”. Pretty much every corner is picture-worthy, and there are even dedicated photo spots like decorated chairs and pretty butterfly wings to snap shots with. The exhibition features balloon displays made by 65 artists from over 9 countries, which explains why each sculpture is so intricately designed.
We especially liked this makeshift hot-air balloon, which has a basket that visitors can strike a pose in. Plus, the display itself is super gorg – just look at its rainbow balloon top, decorated with vibrant pastel blooms.
Nonetheless, the highlight of the entire exhibition is definitely this stunning 10 metre-tall centrepiece. This extravagant art piece looks like a giant flower bouquet, assembled with an assortment of colourful flowers coming in various shapes and sizes.
If you wanna snap pics with the entire fam, there’s even a bench long enough to fit you and your little ones, placed right in front of the majestic sculpture.
As you make your way around, do also keep a lookout for other cutesy details like this row of adorable smiling flowers, and tiny fairy figurines scattered around the exhibits.
Feeling inspired by these balloon art pieces? You and your kiddos can sign up for balloon-making workshops at the event, where you can have a go at creating a dainty little balloon butterfly, or a pretty balloon bouquet.

The Butterfly Balloon Workshop costs $20 per sesh for 1 kid and 1 adult, and comes with a complimentary plushie for your little one to take home. Here, you and your kid will learn how to make balloon butterflies, which even come with smiley faces for a cute final touch.
Meanwhile, the Balloon Bouquet workshop ($30/pax inclusive of a $15 Nasty Cookie voucher) is a more high-level 1.5 hour class, suitable for adults to try. We got to attend this class, and it was honestly a lot more challenging than we thought it would be.
During our workshop, we learned how to twist long balloons into flower petals, attach them to balloon stems, and wrap them up in a pretty pink bow. While we struggled a little to keep up – mostly ’cos we feared our balloons accidentally popping, – the instructors were patient and gave us a hand every now and then.
In the end, we managed to whip up this rather impressive bouquet. P.S. – we’re also proud to report that no balloons were popped in its making!
If you’re keen to attend a workshop, be sure to book a slot in advance at Marina Square’s customer service counter:
