Every year around September, the humming roar of Formula 1 cars reverberates all around Marina Bay, signalling to the masses that it’s time to rev ourselves up for the greatest 3-day street race on our shores: the FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX 2019.

What we don’t have to rev ourselves up for: a party. And F1 is always #1 in that department, bringing a line-up of music acts annually that’ll get everyone grooving faster than Lewis Hamilton zipping by.

This year, they’re bringing out the big guns – think acts like Swedish House Mafia, Muse, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Gwen Stefani, Fatboy Slim and even orchestral genius Hans Zimmer

But don’t just take our word for it – here’s what do at Singapore Grand Prix 2019 to maximise your ticket ROI:

1. Groove to music acts like Gwen Stefani, Swedish House Mafia, Muse & Red Hot Chili Peppers

The Singapore Grand Prix is synonymous with its star-studded concerts. And this year, we’re hollering as Gwen Stefani will be in the house to make us all go B-A-N-A-N-A-S with her catchy tunes.

If pop ain’t your jam, there will also be EDM powerhouse Swedish House Mafia, alt rock stars Red Hot Chili Peppers and rock group Muse to get everyone raving. Award-winning DJ Fatboy Slim will also be a welcome addition to the party.

There will also be an unexpected musical act in the form of Hans Zimmer – yes, he who is behind orchestral masterpieces like “Pirates Of The Carribean” or “Interstellar”.

Even if your tastes veer towards the indie, a slew of rising stars from all around the world are set to perform so there’ll definitely be something that will strike a chord.

Note: Artiste line-up subject to change. Visit here for full and updated music line-up.

2. Catch not 1, but 3 races – and get up close with your favourite F1 cars

Besides the Formula 1 race itself, you can also look forward to other races like the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia and Ferrari Challenge Asia Pacific to watch your favourite cars duke it out in a high-adrenaline race.

Hardcore motor enthusiasts, you’re in for a special treat – get up close and personal with classic cars in the F1 Village (Zone 1) too.

3. Test your own skills with race simulators and pit-stop challenges for free

Ever watched a race and proclaimed aloud that the driver should have done something else to get ahead? Well, put your money where your mouth is as you try out free race simulators in the Singapore Airlines Fan Village at Zone 4, Circuit Park.

If you don’t fancy being in the driver’s seat but want a part of the action, there’s also a Pit Stop Challenge where you can try changing tyres of a replica F1 car – try it in 15 seconds, tops. This is also the best spot to nab exclusive F1 merch to bring home.

Across the zones, there will also be roving performances like drum shows and even glittery stilt walkers to evoke a truly carnival-like atmosphere. But here’s a tip, make a beeline for the free airbrush tattoos and photo booths too!

Zone 1 – Market Street, The Wharf
Zone 3Uptown under the Bay Grandstand
Zone 4 – Portside Hawkers, Dockside Hawkers

*Vegetarian and halal options available. Find out the full circuit map with F&B options here.

P.S. If you’ve splurged out on a Paddock Club ticket, your tastebuds will be treated to gourmet delights by celebrity chefs.
