Whether you are there for F1 action or just treating the race weekend as a music festival featuring roaring sports cars, this year’s Singapore Grand Prix has one of the biggest entertainment lineups yet. From Lana Del Rey to K-pop boy band CORTIS and local Mandopop star JJ Lin, over 100 hours of performances will take place across the stages at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
If you’re going just for the shows, here’s a complete guide to who is performing on which stage and what tickets you’ll need to catch them – because F1 concert ticketing isn’t a one-size-fits-all.

First, before we dive into the concerts, let’s get into the most important part: zones.
The Marina Bay Street Circuit is divided into 4 spectator zones. While every ticket lets you enter parts of the circuit, not every ticket grants access to all concert stages.

In general, Zone 4 is where the biggest headline concerts take place, while some other concert stages are in Zone 1. There are no stages in Zone 2 and Zone 3, which are purely race-viewing zones.
Now that you know how the zones work, keep reading to find out more about the performances at this year’s Singapore Grand Prix, organised by music genre and location.

This year, the Padang Stage remains the main concert venue, which hosts the festival’s biggest names after racing for the day is done. These performances are usually the ones everyone is looking forward to. The stage is located in the western part of Zone 4, opposite the National Gallery Singapore.

The Downtown Stage is your best bet if you are into indie and alternative music and looking for new titles to add to your playlist.
Just outside of the iconic Esplanade building, the DBS Foundation Outdoor Theatre is a cosy amphitheatre that will house the shows of 3 small artistes over the course of the F1 concert weekend.

A look at the F1 concert ticketing website and its seemingly endless variations of tickets may make your head spin and leave you with more questions than you have answers. Trust us, it happened to us too.
So, to make things easier, we’ve grouped the perplexing plethora of available tickets into 4 categories: Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 3, and Zone 4 tickets.

For those who are just there for the headliners like Zara Larsson and Lana Del Rey, you can buy any admission ticket that grants access to Zone 4. You don’t need a Zone 1 ticket or any other type of admission ticket.
Tickets that grant access to Zone 4 at the Singapore Grand Prix include the Zone 4 Walkabout Ticket (general admission) and tickets to specific grandstands such as the Padang Grandstand, Connaught Grandstand, and Empress Grandstand. These tickets also grant entry to the main Padang Stage concerts.
Zone 4 encompasses the lower portion of the Marina Bay Street Circuit, running along sections of the Esplanade Drive and St Andrew’s Road.

Zone 1 tickets grant access to your designated viewing area in Zone 1, as well as roaming in Zones 2, 3, and 4. Basically, Zone 1 ticketholders will have access to all zones, and the Zone 1 Premier Walkabout is the highest tier of general admission.
For those who love rock and want access to Turns 1 and 2 in addition to the Pit Straight, a Zone 1 ticket may be for you.
Those who have been wanting to ride the Singapore Flyer but haven’t found the occasion to splurge on it will be glad to know that Zone 1 ticketholders are entitled to a free ride, subject to availability.

While there are no concerts staged within the Zone 2 and 3 precincts, some grandstand tickets in these zones come with access to selected performances.
Unlike Zone 1 tickets, Zone 2 and 3 tickets don’t guarantee entry to all concert stages. Zone 2 ticket holders have access to Zones 2, 3 and 4, while most Zone 3 ticket holders can enter Zones 1 and 2. The exception is Raffles Grandstand tickets, which only include roaming access to Zones 3 and 4.
Note that Zone 3 tickets come as 3-day passes only.
As a bonus, all Zone 1 and 2 ticket holders receive complimentary rides on the Singapore Flyer, subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis.

Ultimately, we think that a Zone 1 or Zone 4 ticket best meets the needs of those who are there only for the concerts.
Many acts perform at overlapping times, so make sure to prioritise the acts you want to see and account for walking time between performance venues.

Crowds build up quickly as attendees rush to the stages right after the racing ends. If you’re just there for the shows, arriving at the stages early gives you a better chance of securing good views.

The Padang Stage is usually the busiest performance venue, featuring the most well-known artistes. If you just want to watch the shows, head there early to avoid getting caught in the crowd surging towards the stage all at once when the races end.
The standing pen will be closed off once performances start. Secure your spot there as early as possible, as they fill up quickly and may also be closed upon reaching maximum capacity.
Avoid passing out from heat stroke and missing your favourite artist’s show by looking out for water refill stations available for audience use. You know that the heat doesn’t let up after sunset in Singapore, so stay hydrated throughout your time there as the crowds and weather are no joke.
Your phone might die from all the photos and video recording, especially for long hours at a time. So come prepared with your own power bank to charge on the go – you’ll thank yourself later.
Food queues in the venue tend to peak between racing sessions and the start of the headline concerts. Consider grabbing dinner a little earlier to avoid missing the opening songs while waiting for your order, or eating elsewhere before entering the F1 premises.
Marina Bay Street Circuit spans more than 4km, and the walk from one stage to another can be long. Wear comfortable shoes, and think twice about pairing fancy shoes with your concert outfit.
Expect heavy crowds heading towards the City Hall and Promenade MRT stations after the shows. If you’re not in a rush to get home, consider hanging around the city area for a bite or drink before heading home. Raffles City, Marina Square, and Suntec City are nearby malls with food and beverage options.

While you can catch glimpses of the racecars and hear the noise and atmosphere from spots outside the official event venue, you won’t be able to watch the music stages or the full race without a valid ticket.

A Zone 1 ticket is the highest level of general admission ticket and provides access to all public areas, including the Padang Stage.
A Zone 4 ticket, however, only grants you access to the Padang Stage, Downtown Stage, and DBS Foundation Outdoor Theatre without entry to the Wharf and Barge stages.
Essentially, Zone 4 ticket holders cannot enter Zone 1, but Zone 1 ticket holders can enter Zone 4. You do not need more than 1 type of ticket, just 1 ticket that meets your concert needs.
The easiest way to get to the F1 venue is by MRT, as the organisers strongly encourage taking public transport due to road closures. Depending on your target stage or the closest gate to your specific grandstand, the nearest stations include:

If you are mainly there for the concerts, City Hall, Esplanade, Promenade and Bayfront are the most convenient MRT stations.
Yes. Both 1-day and 3-day tickets are available, so make sure you select the right ticket type for your concert goals. However, 3-day Zone 2, 3, and 4 admission tickets are currently sold out. But there’s good news: the high demand for tickets has prompted F1 to announce that they may be releasing more tickets when available.
Outside food and drinks are not permitted in the F1 premises, except for those with medical needs.
Food and drinks are available for purchase at multiple kiosks within the venue, though it is advised to buy during the race if you are only there for the concerts, as food and beverage crowds during that time will be the thinnest.
Most of the concerts are standing pen-only, especially nearer to the front of the stages. Some stages may have seating areas, but they are limited and will fill up quickly.
F1 performances usually go ahead in wet weather – that is, unless the weather poses safety hazards to the performers or audience.
As the entire event is outdoors, we recommend bringing along a poncho as umbrellas may block the view of other attendees.
