For those who’re always chanting “go big or go home”, you’ll have to check Xcape Singapore out. With over 52 game chambers and seven games for players to choose from, Xcape Singapore is the country’s largest escape room.
If you want to be spooked, have a go at the bone-chilling The Doll room that’s clearly inspired by Annabelle, while those obsessed with the idea of surviving a zombie takeover can opt for their Train to Busan-themed room. BTW, some of their escape rooms have live actors roaming around that’s supposed to add to the immersion, so don’t be too freaked out when you bump into another human inside.

Suitable for ages 8 and up, The Tiara Society is one of the more kid-friendly escape rooms in Singapore. However, Potterheads of all ages will enjoy this escape game as, you guessed it, everything is centred around a Harry Potter theme.
Fans of the series may recognise the familiar scenes of the wizarding world, as they navigate through dungeons and castles to find clues to escape the secret chamber.

6. The Escape Artist

You’ll probably recognise The Escape Artist as one of the OG escape rooms that first introduced the concept to Singapore. However, they’ve since shuttered in July 2026, with the closing of Harbourfront Centre.

But, they’ve not called it quits just yet, as they’ve pivoted to providing their escape room expertise offsite. This means you’ll be able to engage them to host escape room games at various spots around Singapore, such as Battle Box in Fort Canning, VivoCity, Haw Par Villa, and even at tourist attractions like River Wonders and the Singapore Oceanarium.

Their games will draw inspiration from these locations. For instance, their Code of Silence game is a wartime escape game which tasks players with sending a secret code before the fall of Singapore. With a cute bear as their mascot and bear-themed game plots, Lockdown SG offers a more light-hearted take on virtual escape games. Their physical location was temporarily closed due to redevelopment work going on at Marina Square, but as of 25th July 2026, they are fully up and running once again.

All of their rooms are priced at $24 across the board on weekdays, and since most of them are kid-friendly, they’re a great option for a fun day out with the entire fam. There’s one themed after Alice in Wonderland which will have you test your wits in psychological warfare, while the Bearry Potter 2 room tasks players with fending off magical beasts with the wave of a wand.
They’ve also got VR options too, for a different type of challenge. Ones like the Forgotten Temple and Circus of the Dead are suitable for groups as small as 2 people, so even couples can have a blast here.

They’ve got outlets in Downtown East, City Square Mall, ORTO, and Singapore Discovery Centre, and they’re known for their Asian horror-themed escape rooms.

They’ve got 2 of them, The Medium and Break Through The Soil, and no matter which one you pick, the experience is extra immersive, as they sport live NPC actors to paint as vivid a picture as possible.

The Medium, in particular, is sure to delight fans of Thai screamers. It’s inspired by tall tales from the Mae Hong Son region, where you’ll follow a grieving father as he performs a ritual to revive his dead son. If you’ve still got gas left in the tank, you can also have a go at their The Floor Is Lava game, where you’re bound to work up a sweat.

Located within KAP Mall in King Albert Park, they’ve got a total of 3 escape rooms to tackle, 2 of which don’t rely on cheap scares to get your heart racing. This means even the kids can tag along for these. For instance, their Classroom Crisis escape room will have you working as a team to defuse a bomb planted in a school by a nefarious individual.
The air is rife with intrigue and mystery over at Inheritance, as you take on the role of a potential heir to a successful family business. Just when dad’s about to relinquish the reins, he, along with your eldest sibling, goes missing without a trace. It’s your job to locate your family by entering your father’s study to piece together clues and get to the bottom of their disappearance.

Can only 2 people play an escape room?
As they’re usually more well-known as a teambuilding activity, escape rooms in Singapore typically cater to a minimum of 4 people. However, there are some options in this list that offer games for 2 people, such as Lockdown SG’s VR games and Xcape Singapore’s The Doll escape room.
Are escape rooms very scary?
Whether an escape room is scary or not it depends on what the concept of the escape room is. Generally, escape rooms are meant to instill some form of suspense. After all, the premise requires you to race against the clock and escape. However, most of them are all in good fun and aren’t supposed to be too scary.
That said, there are a few escape rooms in Singapore that provide horror-themed rooms. So if you’d like to enjoy the thrill of solving a puzzle without getting jump-scared, we’d recommend you avoid those rooms altogether.
Do people get claustrophobic in escape rooms?
