Desaru Has Daycation Packages With Return Ferry Tickets For EOY Hols Without Taking Leave

Desaru daycation packages

Hands up if you’re experiencing massive wanderlust, but don’t have enough ALs to go on a full vacation. We come bearing good news: now, you can head to Malaysia and back in a day – because Desaru Coast has launched 5 different daycation packages from Singapore. Plus, the most affordable one starts at just RM398 (~S$123).

Taking into account the new Desaru Link Ferry services that take you straight there, it’s been made even more accessible so you can get there and back in a jiffy. The packages also include return ferry trips, so the responsibility of factoring how and how much to get there is off your hands.

For thrill-seekers: Desaru Coast Adventure Waterpark

One of Desaru Coast’s most popular attractions is Desaru Coast Adventure Waterpark, which has over 20 exciting rides. Of which is Kraken’s Revenge, a thrilling water roller coaster, and the Tempest slide, a large funnel that will have you gripping the float handles for your life. Trust us, it’s worth making a trip down to Desaru – even if just for a day.

With the Splash Out Day package (RM398, ~S$123), you can start your daycay with a splash. The price includes a 1-day pass to the waterpark (U.P. RM245, ~S$77 per adult) and a return ferry ticket (U.P. S$118). That way, you get to save around S$72 for a trip – without having to worry about booking transportation separately.

For foodies: Desaru fruit farm tour & high tea

Alternatively, you can make your quick getaway a fruitful one with a trip to the Desaru Fruit Farm. This 180-acre land has guided farm tours to different parts such as the crocodile farm and agricultural gallery. This is great for families with young kids or if you need a breath of fresh air. You can also purchase fresh fruits, juice, and dehydrated fruit snacks from the fruit farm.

The Out-in-Nature Day Fruit Farm tour package (RM$418, ~S$129) will save you more than S$10. This deal includes a return ferry ticket, high tea at Big Easy Bar & Grill, as well as a fruit farm tour – inclusive of a lunch and transfer to and from the hotel.

For adventure seekers: River cruise tours

Besides the sun, sand, and sea, how about the biodiversity? The JungleWalla mangrove at Desaru is home to a flourishing biodiversity of animals like gibbons, monitor lizards, and kingfishers. You can look out for Desaru’s wildlife while birdwatching, kayaking or – for a more leisurely pace – on a river cruise along the Sedili fishing village.

The perfect daycation package for nature lovers and adventurers would probably be the Out-in-Nature Mangrove tour package (RM598, ~S$184), which comes with a 3-hour guided tour at Sedili, return ferry from Singapore, and a 3-course lunch at Big Easy Bar & Grill.

Adventurers, ahoy! Embark on a boat tour of the Sedili Wetland mangroves, located a 35-minute drive from Desaru Coast. A guide will be onboard to tell you all there is to know about the area as you journey down the river. At the same time, you can also take in views of the natural landscape and spot various creatures.

For aspiring tai tais: Brunch & golfing packages to treat yourself

For those who want to live the tai tai life on a budget, there are other packages to suit your fancy. We still think they are a pretty good deal, though. Check out the Saturday Brunch Day by The South China Sea (RM568, ~ S$175), where you can enjoy free-flow dishes at the Sea.Fire.Salt restaurant at the Anantara Resort. Besides a return ferry ticket, you’ll also get access to the beach at the resort. For the full experience, you can also book a room at Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas and stay a day or 2.

If you’d rather golf than laze around on the beach, here’s a day trip that is a hole-in-one. It’s called the Golfer’s Day Out package (RM688 ~S$213) and it comes with a return ferry ticket, 1 round of 18-hole golf, and a hearty 3-course lunch at Big Easy Bar & Grill.
