There’s A Huge Bazaar In Little India With Loads Of Traditional Snacks & Festive Outfits For Deepavali Hols

Deepavali Festival Village in Little India

We know Deepavali is not far off if you haven’t already seen the colourful lights along Serangoon Road. The Hindu holiday of Deepavali (also known as Diwali) is one of the most important events of the year, and to mark the occasion, Deepavali Festival Village has sprung up in the hub of festivities, Little India.

You’ve probably already bought everything you need for Deepavali months in advance. Still, if you need any last-minute shopping – jewellery, Sarees, or home decor – all you need is to stop by the vast bazaar from now till 11th November.

Deepavali doesn’t come by often in a year, so if you’re thinking of getting a second pair of Punjabi, our advice: don’t even think twice. This Deepavali, you won’t only be serving murukku; you’ll be serving looks, too.

You may get them from various colour options in the Little India market for far less than you would pay at a shopping mall. Perhaps now is the perfect moment to stock up your wardrobe with Punjabi and Saree pieces without breaking the bank.

What’s a new set of outfits without accessories that match? You don’t have to go far to look for matchy-matchy ones for your new Deepavali looks. We’re not sure about you, but the shopaholic in us screamed when we saw pop-up stores at the festival selling accessories from eye-popping Jhumka earrings to glittery and colourful bangles.

Sure, Deepavali is known as the festival of lights, but we all know it’s also an occasion for appreciating the OG traditional Indian food. We spotted one of the many F&B vendors that sells a variety of Indian kuih and cuisines, so you can fire up your taste buds, and we’re all here for it.

When we said the festival has everything you need for Deepavali, we literally meant it. Not only can you find accessories, shoes, and traditional clothes here, but you can also find oil lamps, peacock fur for decor, and multi-coloured LED lights, including rangoli powder for kolam.
