Chinese New Year 2026 events in Singapore

It’s that time of the year again when Mandarin oranges and angbaos seem to multiply faster than you can count. But beyond family dinners and catching up with friends, Chinese New Year is also the perfect excuse to step out and soak up the festive vibes around town.

We’ve rounded up a list of CNY events in Singapore that’ll give you plenty of ways to celebrate the Year of the Horse – here’s where you can catch all the action this festive season.

We usually soak up the LNY vibes at malls and neighbourhood bazaars; wildlife parks are probably the last place you’d think of. But the Mandai Wildlife Reserve is turning all 5 wildlife parks – along with 1 new indoor attraction, the Curiosity Cove – into a lively LNY celebration with festivities galore and rousing lion dance performances. And yes, the animals will be in on it too.

Catch the animals participating in festive-themed enrichment activities across all 5 wildlife parks. For instance, the Grevy’s zebras at Singapore Zoo will explore firecracker-inspired enrichment setups and hanging treats to liven up their natural foraging behaviour.

There’ll also be exclusive festive set menus at Ah Meng Restaurant, and animal ambassadors will take centre stage during wildlife presentations. Don’t miss the festive greetings and “selection” of lucky numbers by the playful parrots!

Guided by animal keepers, guests get to enjoy an up-close interactive encounter with a pony and falabellas. On top of that, there is also a special “Horse-picious Trail” on the Mandai app, where you can redeem exclusive keychains.
