These savings will take the form of SMRT$, which can be exchanged for cash rebates and shopping vouchers, and you can track your SMRT$ balance by downloading the handy Citi Mobile App (App Store | Google Play).
SMRT$ is credited at a base rate of 0.3% on retail spend, and once you reach a monthly statement of S$500, you’ll be granted an additional 4.7% savings* on groceries, online shopping, and your commute – which is nothing to be scoffed at. Plus, it’s pretty easy to accumulate this half a grand of spending monthly, once you factor in other expenses such as online shopping purchases and transportation.
2. Party-goers enjoy 5% savings* when booking rides to gatherings
Speaking of which, serial ride-hailing app users will be glad to know that the money spent on private hire rides will go towards hitting that monthly retail spend of S$500 on your statement. These include trips booked via popular apps like Grab and Gojek, so you can make your appearance at any EOY party across Singapore in a jiffy.
It goes without saying that those who swear by taking the public transport will also get to enjoy these savings too. Any transaction made via SimplyGo, be it tapping into MRT stations or boarding public buses, will contribute to amassing the S$500 monthly statement spend.
3. Indulge in up to 20% off when shopping for Secret Santa gifts
