With Christmas comes plenty of festive decor – what is this holiday season without towering Christmas trees and fairy lights strewn through Orchard Road? But the usual baubles and garlands aside, shopping malls like The Cathay and Cineleisure have taken it a step further with IG-worthy photo spots.
To spread the Christmas cheer, these spots aren’t merely photogenic backdrops – instead, most of them are interactive with the likes of glow-in-the-dark doodles and LED see-saws. From lit-up floor panels to a room covered entirely in sequins, here are 8 photo spots to head down from now to 2nd January 2020:

1. Carousel Dream
With a carousel-themed backdrop, this particular spot will transport you to a fairyland – the stuff of every little girl’s dreams. But don’t scoff: the carousel’s pastel hues will add a whimsical touch to your IG feed. There’s even a unicorn for you to straddle as you can stare off dreamily into the distance.
2. Sequin Artist
Sequins aren’t just pretty to look at – at this photo spot, you can even create art with these glittery sequins. It’s like a drawing board of sorts, as these sequins will transform in colour when you sweep your bare hands across the surface. You can leave meaningful messages or even create your own designs.
