Bay Spring Carnival 2023
There’s nothing better than having a good ol’ time indulging in some fun and games – especially when PH season is right around the corner. Lucky for us, the Bay Spring Carnival is here to bring back the splendour of entertainment from 13th-29th January 2023.
Tying in with Chinese New Year, The Bay Spring Carnival has everything from Uncle Ringo and a cherry blossom light-up to CNY must-haves like lion dances. We even hear there’s a Haidilao pop-up in winter temperatures – here’s everything you have to look forward to:
Cherry blossom decor for your Year of the Rabbit photos
Get those selfie sticks ready because the Bay Spring Carnival has a colourful array of decorations that are perf for your upcoming CNY #OOTD shots. From cherry blossoms to enchanting fairy lights, the simple yet whimsical decor makes for great pics.
There are also giant inflatable bunnies around the carnival grounds, so hop over to ‘em and snap a pic.
Free performances featuring local acts
A Chinese New Year celebration just isn’t complete without a performance. Head on over to the stage to welcome the Year of the Rabbit with captivating lion and dragon dances. The dancers will even be working their way in and around the carnival, giving you an up-close-and-personal look at the show.
That’s not all, there are also musical performances from guzheng pro Neo Sek Koon and local acts like Jeff Ng, who’ll be belting out Mandarin hits like 背對背擁抱, and Jason Yu who will be there to perform iconic pop tunes. Talk about an a-bunny-dance of talent. Okay, we tried.
Uncle Ringo carnival with rides & games from $6
Of course, a carnival ain’t nothing without rides and games, and there are over 30 to look forward to like The Meteorite and bumper cars.
If adrenaline-pumping rides aren’t your thing, there’s also a photogenic white carousel in the middle of the carnival.
Also try your hand at fun games like ring toss, lobster bowl, and mini basketball to take home prizes like adorable plush toys.

It’s no secret that we love a good hotpot sesh with our besties, but having hotpot in the freezing cold takes it to another level. Ice Magic currently has a Haidilao pop-up restaurant that serves some pretty cool hot pot, from $248/2 pax.
Served on a table of ice, the hot pot set comes in 2 options – Hi Magic Beef or Hi Magic Pork. Their regular fix-ins like cheese tofu and complimentary warm soy milk will be available too. Winter jackets and boots will be provided to customers, but if unlike Elsa, the cold does bother you, don’t forget to pack some extra gloves and a beanie.
Otherwise, the carnival has food booths around for you to take a pick from, with options like Truffle Wagyu Beef Bowl ($15) from Karubi. You can also find snacks like tteokbokki and sushi, and fresh seafood like cockles and tiger clams at Kin Hoi.
Wash it down with some coconut shakes from Cocosan from $4. We even spotted vendors like White Rabbit, Magnum, and Ben and Jerry’s – PSA for the sweet tooths out there.
