14 Cheap Korean BBQ Buffets In Singapore Under $34/Person Even During Dinner Hours

Affordable KBBQ in Singapore

Riding the tides of the K-Pop wave that has awashed Singapore is the cuisine of Korea. And who among us can say no to Korean barbeque (KBBQ), where meat lovers get to savour the tender juiciness of marinated beef, pork, and chicken grilled on the spot.

To top things off, there are also veg dishes served on the side, making sure you stay on track with your balanced diet while indulging in your love for meat.

And the best part? KBBQ is usually served buffet-style. This means that it’s usually pricey, but here are 14 affordable KBBQ restaurants in Singapore, promising to treat your tastebuds without nuking your wallet.

1. Captain Kim – over 60 halal dishes plus free-flow hotpot (from $13.90)

Captain Kim KBBQ

Korean BBQs have been popular for years but the options for halal ones are still rather limited, making any new and MUIS-certified restaurants very welcome.

Opened at Tampines in 2018, Captain Kim has over 60 different types of food ranging from meats, vegetables, a free-flow salad bar, as well as ready-to-eat food. Owned by the same group operating the popular I’m Kim franchise, this KBBQ restaurant also serves ready-cooked volcano chicken which spicy food lovers will appreciate.

KBBQ: Captain Kim

You won’t be limited to just barbecued meat either. Cleanse your palate with the included free-flow hotpot where you can add instant ramen noodles, popular toppings such as sausages and crabsticks, vegetables, and my personal favourite, an assortment of mushrooms.

The unlimited KBBQ set focuses on high-quality pork belly, pork collar and boneless chicken in three to four different flavours as well as prawns.

After trawling through reviews, we found that the soya sauce chicken is the tastiest of the lot, while the spicy chicken will have you chugging drinks after finishing just one serving. On the other hand, their spicy pork flavour has a more subdued amount of heat.
