TANGS at Tang Plaza basement reopening
Orchard Road may be known for high-end shopping and atas cafes, but OGs know that TANGS at Tang Plaza basement has some of the best wallet-friendly eats. And now, after a 6-month revamp, the iconic basement at TANGS is back with a fresh new look and a brand-new Hawker’s Street. The latter features 15 food stalls, including 6 Michelin Guide ones.
No more saying, “Orchard food so expensive sia.” This revamped food haven proves otherwise. Plus, there are reopening promos and freebies you won’t want to miss – here’s what’s in store.

The basement at Tang Plaza is buzzing again with the new Hawker’s Street, home to 15 food stalls, including 6 names from the Michelin Guide. Expect a solid lineup with favourites like Loong Kee Yong Tau Fu, Springleaf Prata Place, Hup Hong Chicken Rice, Tai Seng Fish Soup, Tai Wah Pork Noodle, and Fei Fei Roasted Noodle.

Whether you’re here for lunch or a quick bite, you can’t go wrong with the Signature Tai Wah Pork Noodle ($10.50) for a comforting classic, or a crispy plain prata (from $1.50) from Springleaf. Besides the Michelin Guide ones, other stalls to check out include The Viet Roti for banh mi and Ramen King for slurp-worthy bowls.

If you want something other than hawker food, the basement also has a few new faces. Percolate is your go-to for a caffeine fix with drinks such as the Coconut Latte ($6.50), and Tous les Jours Cafe brings in their Korean-French bakes for something a little sweeter.

From now till 31st August, pick up a free CHOPE tissue packet with an adorable design at levels 2 to 4 of TANGS at Tang Plaza. Then, between 2pm-5pm, bring your empty packet back to the Andy’s Pie stall in the basement to redeem a free small original chicken pie (worth $6.80). Each pie is handmade with flavourful, tender chicken chunks inside a buttery crust – plus, they are halal-certified.
Heads up, it’s limited to the first 30 redemptions daily, and each person gets one pie per tissue packet.
