STRIP: Ministry of Waxing Hot
STRIP: Ministry of waxing was born in Singapore at a time where the local wax culture was medieval.
But founder Cynthia Chua, the original smooth operator, believed that there was a place for body culture that’s practiced safely, hygienically and painlessly. Eventually, she created a brand new set of Brazilian waxing techniques that was significantly less painful and embarrassing.
Championing a passion for innovation and an eye for sassy, fun interiors, STRIP: Ministry of Waxing has rocked the world of waxing.
Strip offers quality waxing services and advanced techniques when it comes to pre- and post-wax care.Their range of specially concocted hard wax and products ensures that your Strip experience is as painless as it gets.
Their HSQ Mantra:
H is for Hygiene: We strap on the latex so that you get a good clean strip.
S is for Speed: It's over and done within 15-30 minutes.
Q for Quality: Nothing but the best for your hoochie & coochie with our customised wax.

You’re paying for the name as well as the wax
Strip Ministry of Waxing claims to be the best Brazilian wax in Singapore, and is also a well known global brand. Although the majority of my trips there have been excellent, I feel that people are often blinded by its reputation and clever marketing. A full leg wax for $65 is a bit pricey, and I know that there are lots of salons that could do the job at a much cheaper price. Sometimes the results just aren’t what you pay for either. One trip I went for a wax which cost a steep $62 only to find later that they had missed a massive patch of hair. It went even further downhill when I tried to wax it myself, unsuccessfully.
As a whole, the experience is pleasant and for me I enjoyed the lack of awkward small talk between me and the beautician, mainly due to her not saying a word except “take your pants off and lie on the bed”, which for me was still too much and cripplingly awkward. If a chat and a laugh to take your mind off the pain is what you’re after, you’re better off going to a local salon, as intimacy is not Strips strong point.
Decent waxing most of the time, fancy salons and nice smelling wax makes me willing to come back to strip again, what they were very skilled at was reducing your pain to a minimum which is ideal. I also really liked how you could book it online, which for someone like me who blushes at the simple mention of the word Brazilian is definitely ideal. Just be aware that a decent local salon are likely to do as good, if not a better job at smaller price, and that at Strip you are paying for the name as well as the wax.
"Ouch! Isn't it painful?"
This was the most common response I received after telling friends I had visited Strip for its Brazilian wax. But this common perception of waxing being unbearably painful isn't true, especially so at Strip.
If I were to rate the pain factor on a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it a 3. The staff at Strip would usually warn you if certain parts will be more painful than others so that you can mentally prepare for it. Also, they are very skilled and the pain often lasts for less than 2 seconds, I kid you not.
The service standards there would make you feel less shy about grooming your nether regions. Additionally, before each session, you'll get a free chocolate that helps in calming your nerves!
Bear in mind though, that each session is rather costly and even more so if guys want to get the 'Boyzilian'. The only consolation would be the half-price coupons for first timers. However, loyal customers can only earn discount credits by introducing new friends to Strip.
Hence, for a painless session of grooming, I would definitely recommend Strip. However this service is best catered to first timers who stand to get a better price; it has been noted also, that the staff are often more attentive towards first timers.
