Convenient for overseas S'poreans
Asian Home Gourmet spice packs are the first things I buy each time I'm preparing to go overseas. The small packets of readymade mixes are really easy to prepare. I make them to introduce my foreign friends to Singaporean food, and it has helped me win some new friends too!
The tastiness of AHG sauces isn't the best in the market. I've tried three different types of Thai green curry, and AHG fared the worst, even though it was passable. Their packet of Japanese curry, which although more portable, also tastes terrible next to the Japanese brands' curry cubes.
Prices are OK. They go for about 2 SGD per packet, if I remember correctly. That's a small price to pay to reproduce a taste of home while I'm overseas!
