Bukit Panjang Plaza is a shopping mall located near the Bukit Panjang LRT Station at Bukit Panjang in Singapore. It is currently managed by CapitaLand. Its convenient location makes it a popular destination for shoppers from all over Bukit Panjang. A LRT station and bus interchange just across the street makes it easy for people to access this mall.

A simple heartland mall

Located at the heart of Bukit Panjang with the Bukit Panjang LRT station and bus stops being the nearest transport stops, Bukit Panjang Plaza (BPP) is an unsophisticated mall largely serving the residents of the neighbourhood.

Loaded with a foodcourt, a handful of fashion stores, eateries and fastfoods, electronics and singtel store, and a public library, it is virtually a one-stop destination for the typical family. There is even an arcade to boast. Managed by Capitaland, the mall has its own membership privileges and facilities such as the 'Garden Plaza' and a playground. Fancy some grocery shopping? Fret not as there is a two-floor NTUC supermarket. However, fashionistas will snivel for it seriously lacks big fashion brands or labels, though shops like M3 or Giordano may satisfy some fashion urge.

Come 2016, I foresee BPP will be more popular as the Bukit Panjang downtown line and bus interchange are materialised. For now, do drop by for a quick fix of lunch or dinner and simple shopping. But serious shopping? Go downtown.

Heartland Mall with not much Heart

The ONLY mall in an increasingly over-populated Bukit Panjang, its usually visited by patrons who has no other choice but to go there - mainly because of laziness to travel to Lot 1 at Choa Chu Kang or take a Bus to town.

Situated just beside the Bukit Panjang interchange, its easy for patrons who just came back from work/school to visit this mall. I mean, why else would anyone wanna visit this 鸟不生蛋 place?

However, here you can find you basic mall needs like Telco, NTUC,Library, Salon etc.so whenever desperate, you can get your fix easily.

Though small, the mall does undergo a recent renovation to expand the size a little. (Thank God) But they added a lot of questionable eateries like PizzaHut (我的天)and Thai Express ( Aunties where got eat thai express??)Nonetheless, I do recommend the new eateries at the basement floor which sports some healthy food varieties. The Claypot porridge stall is both affordable and delicious.

The Starbucks is an awesome place to chill and beo at some XMM but there are just too many Aunty and Uncles looming around with their noisy kids that's gonna kill your mood. Overall BP Plaza is a place where you should just focus on hit and run tactics and shouldn't plan to explore much.

Busy and popular shopping mall!

If you're driving to Bukit Panjang Plaza, I would suggest to park your car at a nearby HDB flat carpark. It's cheaper and much more convenient. There's a bridge connected from the carpark to the shopping mall, so it's not troublesome at all. It's right next to it so you'll definitely find it.

Like any shopping centres in Singapore, Bukit Panjang Plaza is the place where friends meet, eat and have fun. Everyday the mall is filled with shoppers rubbing shoulders, especially during weekends.

Of all the things worth spending money on, I would recommend buying clothes. Ladies might want to check out Earthdoll and KIYO, both located at level 3.

Kopitiam is a great place to sample Singapore cuisines in a clean environment. There are lots of dining choices in Bukit Panjang Plaza. On weekends, the food court is crammed with Singaporeans and the ocassional tourists walking up and down the stalls serving Chinese, Indian and Halal food. It's a good source of quality and affordable eats.

What I like best is that there's also a library at level 4. A place of knowledge and wonder, and hearing nothing but the quiet peaceful sounds of paper flipping is the best for book lovers.

Get all your bakeries here

A plaza that has withstood decades and finally got a makeover, it is a convenient place for the residents of Bukit Panjang to hang out- be it at Starbucks or Macdonalds.

While BP plaza is more or less our typical mall, it has a concentration of bakery chains that leaves one spoilt for choice. Customers can choose from Bengawan Solo (kueh- driven) and Angie the choice, as well as its halal counterparts- Swee Heng and Polar Cuffs and cakes. Based on observation, the busier ones are Swee Heng and Polar so you might want to try them out too.
Apart from that, the plaza has a spacious food court that deals with a variety of food, from Korean dishes to traditional Chinese delights and Indonesian treats. The quality of food is average, whereby for instance, the Tahu Goreng (fried tofu served with peanut sauce) from an Indonesian stall did not taste that fresh. Indeed, other food stalls selling Tahu Goreng elsewhere would have fared better.

On a pleasant note, the plaza has a neighbourhood library, an ideal place to visit and relax at right after having a meal. Though smaller in size relative to other libraries, it is not too crowded. One thing they could have improved was to have more sofa seats as they are taken up fast, leaving those who wish to read sitting down on the carpet. Otherwise, this library is comfortable enough for readers.

Bukit Panjang plaza is easily accessible. Taking 190 a straight bus from Chua Chu Kang interchange would get you there at maximum 20 minutes.

one stop mall!

This shopping mall has got to be the best thing that happened to those staying in this area.

Other than the fact that it doesn’t have a cinema, this place is perfect otherwise.
I remember pestering my mum as a kid to bring me to Bukit Panjang Plaza and we can spend the whole afternoon there. There library there was probably what nurtured my love for reading, and I have to thank this library branch for giving me the chance to be one of the first few kids to borrow book from a library in my school.

Don’t be fooled by its small size; BPP has almost everything you want. With a 2 storey NTUC, you will have no trouble looking for groceries to cook that perfect meal. Don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for their offers! They carry a healthy selection of beer and there’s always a promotion ( I always make it a point to go to NTUC whenever i’m at BPP to check if they have any promotions for erdinger ). Food wise, it has almost every kind available. Hongkong cafes, sushi restaurants, jacks place, pizza hut, kopitiam for those on budget, fast foods, starbucks, there is just so much to choose from!

Its probably a good thing that they don’t have a cinema there, if not it would probably be impossible to get me out of bukit panjang itself!

Family mall

BPP is, in essence, a family mall. There is everything a typical household would need to go to for recreation purposes. There is Fair Price for grocery shopping which is pleasantly large compared to other Fair Price outlets I have been to. (My mother would absolutely go crrrrazy.)

There is also an awesome variety of places for food -restaurants, fast food (KFC and McDonalds), Gong Cha, little eateries and pastries shop, a library and best of all, DAISO. (My mum would literally scream her head off if we shift near BPP.)

All your family needs are pretty much catered to. That said, shopping is rather drab. There is presence of clothing and shoes stores but they are generally targeted towards more mature women and adult or to children. But, like I said, it is a very family-oriented mall.

For the children, there is a small playground outside on the first level. For the young teenagers who refuse to go home, there is a huge space beside the playground where you can sit down with your gang of friends and 'lepak' there (and be as rowdy as you want while I stare from afar, judging with my mean asian slit-eyes). For the devoted and ardent students, well, there is a relatively huge McDonalds outlet for you to study at.

Eating is basically the highlight of Bukit Panjang Plaza. I cannot imagine having to spend my time there besides not eating or getting a bit of work done at McDonalds.

good heartland mall

Bukit Panjang Plaza (BPP) is a heartland mall located at, you guessed it right! Bukit Panjang! Some of you might not have heard of this place but it is worth a look if you're tired of your own heartland malls and the big malls in town. The basement of BPP has a lot of food!! The whole BPP design is also very modern and well-built. It has a lot of amenities instead of fashion boutiques. After all, it is a heartland mall built to serve the needs of the residents.

There is a huge Fairprice store and even a national library to boot! How cool is it to have a library in a mall? I hardly go to libraries but I've seen a lot of people in the library during my few times there. For relaxation, there is a Citispa outlet there as well! However, since it is a heartland mall, everyone staying there goes there for their needs and so, it might be very crowded on weekends. I saw a long queue at Pizza Hut one weekend! I have never seen a queue for Pizza Hut before. Do get there on weekday afternoons to best enjoy the atmosphere of the mall!
