It all wraps up here.

I've always thought that 4 years would pass very languidly and I would remain in secondary school for a long time. Prom night changed this perspective of mine and I was slightly taken aback by how everyone (including myself) have changed over these 4 years. Time has never passed by so swiftly.

Prom was held in Serangoon Gardens Country Club. As I entered the gallant-looking building with my long-time buddies, I was awestruck by the grandness of the Kensington ballroom. Everyone looked resplendent with their beautiful dresses and suits, including the teachers. The food wasn't all that delectable though. Choices were limited and dishes were cold too. But alas, it was a wonderful night with entertainers cracking hilarious jokes and schoolmates cheering around. The best part of prom? Dancing and jumping around the ballroom while the deejay played techno music. It was as though we were partying in a real club! I felt like a drunkard dancing around with my friends and classmates. Nonetheless, I enjoyed myself thoroughly, despite my hair becoming unkempt and sweat making my dress uncomfortable.

Prom also made me realized how depressing it was to part with everyone, especially while I took my final snapshots with the people I have known dearly for 4 years. It's hard to imagine my life without my friends, classmates and teachers together in school. I reminisced the days where I had to slog my guts out before O levels, wishing all of these would be over. Now that it has, I feel a trifle strange. I genuinely miss having quick lunches with my friends at Compass Point KFC before heading back for extra class. I miss my teachers nagging at us to study hard. I miss secondary school. Oh the nostalgia...
