You get what you pay for
In my opinion, you get what you pay for with Nike's products. Everything from sweat bands, to wrist bands, to sweatshirts and footwear, you basically get the highest quality products that serves their purpose.
I have used several Nike products and all have lasted me for very long periods of time. I also love the many designs and colors that vary by season. There have been more than once where I have stood outside the shop's window, salivating at the latest products. All in all, pricey products but worth breaking in your wallet for it.
One of my favourite sports brands up till date, i love them for their good quality, comfort and simple designs. Their shoes, bags and all are of really good quality with excellent machinery that will not easily give way with rough handling unlike other cheapo brands. Though their items are a tad expensive, I would say it is worth it.
Even their shirts, especially their dri-fit ones, is comfortable, fitting and airy which makes sports so much funner in such comfy wear. Instantly makes my work outs so much more enjoyable.
Of shoes and shoes.
In terms of appealing, Nike has alot for me to rave about. I love their advertisements and concepts - usually clean and straight to the point (just do it) and not submerged in a pool of fancy wancy graphics. Nike is highly dependent on celebrity endorsements, and when the celebs look good in it, we, the normal humans would naturally think that we look good in it too. And then bam, sales for you!
But in terms of quality wise, I'm not too sure about it. I've owned their running shoes and soccer boots, and so far, the running shoes are doing pretty fine with some constant running on my part, the soles have barely fade out and everything seems to be pretty intact. The boots, on the other hand, fell apart within 2 months of training? I understand that a new pair of boots are required every few months, but just TWO months, seriously? They don't exactly come cheap either, and when you pay a substantial amount of a pair of shoe, you'd definitely expect it to last, say a year or thereabouts?
It happened with 2 of my boots, so I guess I'm laying off Nike boots for now. But other than that, I love their Nike dunks, and their sports bra (possibly one of the most comfortable ones!). Oh, and of course, I love how they integrated themselves into the presence of smartphones - like NikePlus, which really helps with my running.
Used to be my favorite brand, used to
I used to love Nike running shoes but the quality of the new Nike is really quite bad.
Both my gf and me are wearing Nike running shoes, she wore it almost every day and me lesser. Hers belonged to the older Nike generation, having worn the same pair for the past 6 years or so and remember, it's almost on a daily basis. I got the Nike Lunarglide series last year (pardon me if I got the name wrong, it's the grey with luminous green one). Barely a year into wearing it, the black soles parts are all dropping off and I'm not even an avid runner!
To be fair to Nike, my gf's pair is facing the same soles falling apart problem now but hers has been with her for 6 years plus and cost much cheaper than when I got my Lunarglide (due to the rapid price hike over the years). It may be due to my walking/running style that's causing a lot of friction on the shoes' soles but I'll probably be giving Nike a miss for my next pair of sport shoes.
the only sports wear i wear
Nike sells everything that is related to sports, ranging from shoes to clothes to jackets to bags to water bottles, etc. You name it, they've got it.
Though I understand that most products are made in china, Nike stuffs are still of great quality. It may be a little pricey, as you can find something of the same make at a fraction of the price, many people still go back to Nike to get what they need because Nike is a very trusted brand. Not only are their designs great, they've got a wide variety of designs and colors to choose from. Most importantly, their clothes are very comfortable.
Best sporting brand
I'm not an athlete. In fact, I hardly exercise unless absolutely necessary. As such, I do not really buy much sporting equipment. However, when push comes to shove, and I have to purchase a new pair of running sports shoes, NIke would definitely be my sporting brand of choice.
The running shoes at Nike are comfortable and stylish, so it's no wonder that most of my peers favour Nike as their sporting brand of choice as well. The running shoes at Nike are streaked with bright, bold colours, that make them stand out from the crowd. Apart from style, the shoes are usually sufficiently padded with enough support for the feet, so they're definitely pretty comfortable as well.
Although the sporting equipment at Nike can be a little on the pricier end, the aesthetic appeal and quality of Nike goods definitely make them worth the price. However, bargain hunters can simply choose to wait for sales, as NIke engages in frequent sales so the shoes and equipment can get pretty affordable as well.
The only running shoes I wear.
Yes Nike shoes are a tad expensive with the top-of-the-range shoes being over $200. But trust me, they're worth every cent. I take regular 5km jogs in the park near to my home and the last thing you want when you're running is shoes that are uncomfortable or don't provide enough support.
Nike provides both. And style. I love Nike shoes because of the comfort and support that they have but also because Nike shoes look wonderful. And there's always a variety of colours to choose from so you'll never get bored. I've been using my current pair of Nike's for about a year and they still function as well as when I first bought them so I'm incredibly satisfied. (So are my parents because they feel like they've gotten their money's worth out of it)
The leader of sportswear, the best
Nike, under fire due to labour claims back then, but now it is currently the best sporting brand in the world. I have quite a number of sportswear from nike, and i have to say I am impressed because of the service and also great price that i got, mainly from its warehouse store in Changi City Point.
Great deals are something you can expect when you head to their warehouse stores. I bought a first grade soccer boot that was meant to cost 299 for only 129! I absolutely love it and I have no qualms about it. Nike proves to have great attire at great discounts too, and that is why i recommend all readers out there to head down to their warehouse stores.
Nike's got swag.
My first running shoe was from nike. And so is my first waterbottle. And my first sports bra. and... and.....
I love nike! It's got so much swag. I like their slogan tees so much but I always tell myself not to buy them because they're just slogan tees. But really, I love their attitude. If you're a sportsperson, you have to have Nike because it makes you feel empowered.
I remember seeing one of their slogan tee: One swoosh is better than three ____.
It was then that Nike came across to me as a brand that dares to challenge. And thats what sports people should be.
Okay enough of the inspirational talks.
I've bought their compression shorts and sports bra and they are serving me well. Especially the sports bra! I've been wearing them for about 3 years now and they are still in a good condition. It hasn't loosened at all.
Nike has the best sports bra around. Funky colours, cool designs and good support. Would never look to other brands and even though it is a bit pricey, it is a god investment.
Rich history..great quality stuff.
Named after the Greek goddess Nike, who personified victory, Nike (the shoe company) has achieved just that, by sponsoring many promising athletes who have won several victories such as Maria Sharapova and Michael Jordan.
With its funky approach towards the market, Nike has adopted the 'swoosh' logo, and the "Just Do It" slogan. Despite being funky, Nike has focused on the quality of shoes and products that they manufacture, which is an excellent way of doing things. However, what really saddens me are documentaries on the company itself, which features sweatshop workers in Indonesia who earn less than a dollar a day, and have to put up with terrible living conditions.
If you're about to boycott Nike because of that, don't. The quality of their shoes are not bad at all, and besides, these workers need the money to survive, and Nike is trying to improve their wages and living conditions.
