Pasir Ris Primary School is a school highly popular among the Pasir Ris neighbourhood district especially known for nurturing top Mathematics students.
In 2006, the school took the lead in the School-based Curriculum Innovation on Portfolio Assessment and has been recognised as one of the Prototype Schools for Holistic Assessment since 2009. In 2010, the school was one of the 2 schools selected for theRedesigned Classroom Project. This project has since enhanced the classroom layout in supporting a wide variety of teaching pedagogies and helped to develop in its pupils a range of new skills and mindsets. This year, the school embarked on Programme for Active Learning (PAL), as part of MOE’s Phase 3 of PAL implementation, to provide Primary 1 and 2 pupils with broad exposure and experiences through fun and varied activities via modules of Sports and Games and Outdoor Education, Performing Arts and Visual Arts.
