fun themed cafe with good food

Cold-pressed fruit juices in test tubes, iced water served in beakers - Fresh Fruit Lab’s trademark fruity focus and unique laboratory style sets it apart from the rest of the cafes. It’s a pretty far walk from the Kembangan MRT, away from the bustle of the city.

I visited with a friend during lunch hour and the cafe was really packed; we had to wait 20 minutes before finally getting a table. We were offered complementary fruit juice during our wait, and the service staff was friendly. While I love coffee, I couldn’t resist trying out their exotic fruit-infused beverages like Fruit Beats ($8) and Sakurambo ($5) - black tea flavoured with Japanese cherries. The juices were all very fresh, and the fruity flavours enhance the flavour of the beverages too! The Da Bomb Burger ($19) was hearty and wholesome, with a juicy 250g patty, sunny-side up egg and savoury melted cheese. In line with the theme of the cafe, the burger was served with fries and a fruit salad. The main attraction of course has to be FFL’s homemade rainbow cake ($7), which was moist and soft. Their food is so instagrammable too, making this cafe one of my favourites in the East.
