This mosque, like many others that were built at about the same period of time, has a very modern design sensibility about it. It utilises clear glass quite liberally to allow daylight to illuminate much of the prayer hall to cut down on the need to use lights during daytime, which I think is brilliant.
One other thing that I also noticed is that somehow the breeze from outside manages to get into the building to provide good ventilation. Maybe this is due to the design of the mosque and also partly because there are few tall buildings blocking the wind. With condominiums and flats being built around it and approaching completion in a a few more years, I do wonder if it would continue being windy.
There are plenty of activities going on, the mosque committee has been working hard to ensure that the mosque is well utilised. Fridays are especially busy. Do come earlier to catch a comfortable spot to pray or you might just end up on the street just outside the mosque's back gate and on a hot day, it is not a very smart idea to do so.
