Popular for its classes
My impression of the this mosque is that its classes are very much in demand by many. Their kindergarten classes and madrasah classes especially. I had attended some adult-level lectures there before and I find that they are able to attract some really famous teachers to their mosque.
Needless to say, Friday prayers are very crowded affairs. You'll need to come early if you have any intention of being able to pray in the relative comfort of the main prayer hall.
One interesting thing...when the mosque was first built, the walls were streaked with brownish stains almost immediately, especially after a rain. It turned out that the main dome was made out of a copper alloy. I have not seen those stains since, so I think it must have been replaced.
