Mad Delicious

My friends and I went to senor taco after a recommendation from one of my friend’s colleague, and I got to really thank her because the place is just awesome.

First their tacos are plain delicious. I was never a fan of taco until senor taco. We went there two nights ago and it happened that there was a 1-for-1 taco deal. An added bonus is their happy hours where you can get beers and my favorite sangria for around $9! My favorite is their white sangria which has a very strong fruity flavour.

Okay, now for the tacos. If you are there during their 1-for-1 deals, just order as much tacos as possible. I really fell in love with all of the tacos we tried! But my favorite has got to be the pork belly one. Topped with lots of Mexican sauce, it cannot be any more authentic. We also tried their grilled chicken and fish tacos and like I say, you will definitely love them as much as I do.

Service wise, the staffs were friendly and even gave my friend a tequila shot as it was his birthday.

It will definitely be my new favorite hangout, make it yours too!

Tacos!

Tried the tacos at the CHIJMES branch with some of my closet friends who are, like myself, exceptionally picky at Mexican food. And I don't say this without substance! We have loved and lived in Mexico for a good 5 months during our semester exchange trip and fell in love with the tacos there. Back in Singapore, we were on the lookout for the very tacos that resembled something they sold back in the streets of Mexico.

When I first walked past the store at Star Vista, I stopped right in my tracks because the smell was all too familiar. Tacos el pastor, our all-time favorites! Hence, we made it a point to try it during our next outing.

Granted, the taste was extremely familiar, but the meat wasn't as soft and tender as those they serve in Mexico. The tacos were not warm either, and don't smell fresh of corn. However, this could be the closest we can get for tacos and I'd recommend this to people hoping to have a taste of authentic Mexican anytime :)

Ay Caramba!

Given the wide array of food places in Clarke Quay, one can't help but feel completely spoilt for choice.

To those who have no clue where to settle down for a decent meal, be prepared to be dazzled by the lights, swarming crowd, snaking queues and a slight burn to your wallet.

Prices at Clarke Quay restaurants may soar higher than your wildest dreams, so do take caution. For those seeking pocket-friendly eats, I recommend Señor Taco, offering deliciously tangy Mexican grub - juicy tacos and quesadillas.

It is fixed at an economic price of $2.50 per taco - a small tortilla which consists of a generous topping of fragrant onions and cubes of pork, accompanied with a pinch of lime. Do not compromise on the famous sauces (Guacamole, Habanero) It will awaken your senses and provide that much-needed spice in your life.

Wash it all down with a Mexican beer or Martinis from the bar!
