Fan of the bags, not the accessories

"Every girl has to own a Chanel bag" - I bet most of us girls have seen this quote somewhere! I am lucky to have been gifted a classic Chanel flap bag by my mother and I love it for it's high quality and simple design. The gold hardware was amazing as well! It matches well with many of my outfits. My bag is in lambskin and sadly, over the years it has been "injured" with minor scratches. I would definitely recommend the Caviar skin over the lambskin because it it more hardy against scratches. The lambskin is so soft and luxurious though.... You make your choice :) The new range of Le Boy bags are to die for but at $5600, I found the bag's interior to be too simple. Oh well, it's Chanel. I still covet the Le Boy bag in Red. Anyone??? :P TIP: Try to go for their classics instead of seasonal bags because you are paying a premium price and you want something to last. Some seasonal bags are just ugly. They have the hula hoop bag now and I wish it would be taken off the shelves.

Although I am a fan of their classic bags, I cannot say the same for their accessories. I find their logo earrings and necklaces very tacky. I have seen some girls wearing big chanel logo earrings and it just doesn't look classy to me. The small ones are okay. I do know friends who are a big fan of their accessory line so it definitely differs from person to person. Do take a look yourself!!! Go on a weekday instead of a weekend because the queues can get quite crazy!

Every girl's fancy

Where do I begin to describe the It brand of the hearts of many? Name me one girl who has never fallen under the spell of Chanel — go ahead, I dare you!

The allure of the brand began way back for me when I was flipping through the pages of a magazine. The iconic interlocking logo and chain soon became the subject of my obsession, so much so that I finally managed to change my mother’s perception of Chanel (she has always thought it was ‘too black’) years ago. Hooray! Since then, we never looked back.

Service in the boutique can be quite non-existent since they seem to have only so few staff around. Once you get the attention of one (at last), though, you get her FULL attention. Personable service is the key here.
