Decent portion, high-quality sharksfin
The restaurant might be easy to miss if you're driving along the road for its wooden signboard blends in with its surroundings. Its interior is a small and you would probably have to squeeze a little but I assure you the food is worth it.
It was the New Year's eve of 2013 and my dad decided to splurge on a good dinner. Rama Thai sure didn't disappoint. We ordered the grade A sharksfin along with other dishes such as Pad Thai, Stir-fried Asparagus, Fish Maw and the likes.
I was literally stuffing myself because it was simply that good!
Even with just eating the veggie selects, it was enough for me to give a thumbs up. The asparagus was cooked to perfection, still crunchy so you get the kick out of chewing. The fish maw was dry but flavorful and the pad thai was.. It was extremely palatable.
The sharksfin was served in clay-pot style with parsley and beansprout garnishes you could add if you like. There's mushrooms as well as crabmeat in it and the blend was undeniably perfect. The sharksfin was a decent serving and in a whole piece, unlike other places where they serve you artificial ones or a few fine strands of the fin.
It was a really hearty dinner though I must say it burnt a HUGE hole in my dad's pocket. So make sure yours are real deep before indulging!
